Finally got to play with Lights of Niagara, the Scriptus 2023 show ink. I cannot capture the shimmer but it's quite striking on the paper. I can see using this ink in a few projects.

About the paper: I use rolls of butcher paper from Uline for packing. It is excellent for calligraphy practice and layout.

Join me for my last calligraphy workshop at the Rouge Woods Community Centre in Richmond Hill on Nov 25th, 2023.

In this class we will learn the basics of pointed pen calligraphy while I guide you through developing your own style. Time permitting, I will also introduce elements of formal calligraphy and share my practice methods.

Booking for custom nib grinds and tune ups is open on our website. Please book a slot if you would like to have your pens worked on at the show.

In addition to custom nib grinds, we will have some fountain pens and other goodies for sale.

We will also have some specialty nibs available for testing. Do let us know if you would like to try a particular grind or mod.

Join me and at the Toronto Pen Club marketplace get together at the Peel Archery Club on the 27th of August.

I will be grinding nibs and tuning pens there. Reservations can be made from our online store. Direct link in the bio until the event date.

I will also have some pens and inks for sale. I will be happy to bring your orders from the store for delivery (just choose the pick up option and leave me a note at checkout).

This one was nerve wracking - the compound bend was sharp and right where the tipping is welded to the nib.

The repair was a slow and laborious process but the result is well worth it.
