Another packed house with WKF World Kata Champions (1st) and (2nd)

It was a good day at NOX Dojo. World Champions Grace Lau Mo Sheung and Ariel Torres Gutierrez each led a brilliant seminar. It was vibrant, challenging, and motivational. The pair exemplified the ideals of karate with action and respect.

The Canadian version of the MITC start today. More intense action and lessons to come.

It was rewarding to seeing both our boys in the finals fighting for Gold. After earning their gold/silver they stayed to support the sisters with both taking Gold medals home. Our Kata performances begin to take shape as we expand the team for next year.

So much to learn, yet our athletes today demonstrated a growth mindset and athletic spirit. We are grateful for these precious moments and look forward to another challenging season.

What a positive experience witnessing these young recreational athletes develop. As a coach, I am rewarded with their growth as they put themselves out there to accept these challenges to improve themselves. Go NOX Go!

A big shout out to North York Open Tournament for putting on a great show. Supporting amateur sport helps our community and the athletes' future.

Our Karate families shared some new milestones. Fighting jetlag, national champions, and personal demons, our athletes championed their way to a level of growth. All earned their spot onto the Provincial team to represent Ontario in May on a pathway to the PKF PanAm Karate Championships.

Due to the declining weather and road conditions, classes are cancelled today. Stay safe and see you tomorrow.

We are sooooo excited to host World Champions (Gold Medalist) and (Silver Medalist) again at NOX Dojo. The overwhelming success of their visit last time has inspired this powerful duo to bring their famous Miami International Training Camp to Canada. Same price as if you lived in Florida but no travel expense.

World Champion Seminar:
Saturday, April 25, 2026: 4:30 to 9:00
$190 CAD - Open to all
Limit 35 athletes

Miami (Markham) International Training Camp:
Sunday, April 26, 2016: 10:00am to 3:00pm
$200 USD - Open to National, State, and Provincial team members first until March 1, 2026. Then open to all other high performance athletes.
