🟡 Your child 𝐖𝐈𝐋𝐋 have a HCR number if they previously participated in a FirstShift program or played Minor Hockey in a different community.

As noted ALL players must first register with their home hockey association. This will ensure all players are properly registered within their home center while team structures and placements are being finalized.

Hockey Canada is officially replacing the Respect in Sport program with a new, modernized platform titled "𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑺𝒉𝒊𝒇𝒕 𝑭𝒐𝒓𝒘𝒂𝒓𝒅: 𝑬𝒗𝒐𝒍𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑯𝒐𝒄𝒌𝒆𝒚 𝑪𝒖𝒍𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆". This new home for national education will provide age-appropriate, engaging, and progressive content specifically designed to change unhealthy behaviors on and off the ice.

🔺𝐂𝐔𝐑𝐑𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐂𝐄𝐑𝐓𝐈𝐅𝐈𝐂𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍: If you currently have a "Respect in Sport – Activity Leader" qualification on your hockey profile qualifications, it will remain recognized for the next two hockey seasons, expiring 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟖

🔺𝐍𝐄𝐖 𝐂𝐄𝐑𝐓𝐈𝐅𝐈𝐂𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍: Starting 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝟏, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, all new coaches, rostered staff, officials, and parents/guardians will utilize the Shift Forward platform for their required training.

Coaches/team staff cannot add their Respect in Sport from another sport, as that functionality has been disabled. They would have to complete the new Shift Forward.
The minimum age for registered team staff to have qualifications has been changed to 18 or older.
