Meaford Harbour dredging in-water work wrapped up earlier this week!

Some project impacts are still expected to continue until around October 15, while the remaining on-site work is completed.

💧Heads up, Meaford!

The splash pad will close for the season on Tuesday, September 15. The last day of operation will be Monday, September 14. It will reopen next spring. Thank you to the community for visiting the new splash pad this year, which officially reopened in June. We look forward to a full season of fun next year.

💧 The splash pad has reopened following plumbing repairs.

Some features may be limited while final adjustments are completed, but the splash pad is available for use.

Thank you for your patience while staff and contractors worked to resolve this issue.

Reminder! In-water dredging work at Meaford Harbour is expected to begin on August 24.

Details:
🅿️Parking and access will be limited, and harbour users are encouraged to plan ahead before visiting the area.
⚓The Harbour Office will remain open with regular hours.
🐟Washrooms and the fish cleaning station are expected to remain open.

We have expanded our Meaford Sunday Night Hockey groups to include 3 new women’s teams and 2 new men’s teams!

Sundays beginning on October 18 will include:
6:30pm Women’s game
7:45pm Men’s Game
9:00pm Men’s Game

Heads up, Meaford! 🚗

Parking at Beautiful Joe Park will not be available on Sunday, August 23, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., due to Joe’s Summer Social taking place in the park.

Event parking will be available at Legion Park. Accessible parking will be available in Beautiful Joe Park closest to the pavilion.

Please follow posted signage and drive with caution in the area.

🚧Heads up, Meaford!

Meaford Harbour dredging work is scheduled to begin later this month. Dredging removes built-up sand and silt from the harbour bottom to help keep the water deep enough for safe boating access.

On-shore work is expected to begin August 17, with in-water work expected to begin August 24. Parking, access, boat launching, camping, pavilion rentals, and some harbour services may be affected.

The in-water work must happen during an approved environmental timing window to help protect fish, wildlife, and the surrounding water.
