Most golfers won't get home in two, and that's fine. The smart play is to lay up near the 150 marker, leaving a flip wedge into a green built to be hit. Patience over power — that's Sagebrush in a nutshell.

It's easy to overlook the second par-3 on the front nine, but this hole deserves your attention.

The prevailing wind gives you a hand, and so does the firm turf short of the green. The play here is a draw off the right side, letting the ground do the work as it feeds toward the hole.

When the pin's front left, you can afford to be a little more aggressive — there's a small bowl in that section of the green that'll pull the ball in close. Just keep an eye on the steep drop short left. That one doesn't forgive.
