Angela has been working on and off with Coach Brenna since 2022 and at 60 years young, she’s still going strong.
After already undergoing one knee replacement and preparing for her second, Angela is walking proof (pun intended) that strength truly matters, especially when it comes to recovery.
Knee rehab shouldn’t stop at the leg press and leg extension machines. Although this is important to build muscle, it is equally important to relearn how to use that muscle in a functional way.
Building functional strength before and after surgery isn’t just helpful, it’s powerful. It can speed up recovery, improve outcomes, and give you a better quality of life.
The right coach meets you where you’re at, supports you through every phase, and helps you build a foundation that lasts a lifetime.
Have you noticed our new machine? 😏
Here’s how to use it, form-focused + effective:
1. Back Extensions
Set hips on the pad, hinge forward with a neutral spine, then extend through the hips by contracting your glutes.
2. Nordic Curls
Knees on the pad, ankles secured, slowly lower your torso using your hamstrings, driving the motion by bending at the knees as you come up but keeping your hips neutral.
3. Hip Extensions
Chest supported, legs extended behind you, drive through the heels and extend at the hips to target glutes and hamstrings without lumbar strain.
4. Sit-Ups
Feet secured, brace your core, and flex through the spine with control to engage the abdominals and deep core stabilizers. Make it more “fun” by adding a side to side twist!
(Coach Vicky loooves these)
Don’t hesitate to reach out to a coach for more tips or a spot! 🔥

Week 4 Rowing Challenge 🚣♀️🔥
This week’s focus: building rhythm and endurance with moderate intervals.
Now that you’ve learned to hold form and pace, we’re working on finding a rhythm you can settle into, smooth, powerful, and repeatable. These moderate intervals challenge your stamina while reinforcing efficient technique.
Think:
✔️ Controlled drive
✔️ Relaxed recovery
✔️ Steady breathing
✔️ Strong, repeatable strokes
You shouldn’t feel rushed, you should feel in control. Let the rhythm carry you and watch your endurance climb. 💪🔥
