Halton Hawks FC and Swedish Champions Mjällby AIF Announce Long-Term International Partnership
Milton, Ontario – Halton Hawks FC is proud to announce a long-term international partnership with Mjällby AIF, the reigning champions of Sweden and winners of the Swedish league and cup double.
The partnership represents a major milestone for Halton Hawks FC and reinforces the club’s commitment to providing exceptional development opportunities for its players, coaches, and technical staff.
Built on a shared passion for player development and coach education, the collaboration will focus on the exchange of knowledge, coaching methodologies, technical expertise, and best practices between the two organizations.
The partnership is expected to include coach education initiatives, technical exchanges, staff visits, player development opportunities, and collaborative projects designed to strengthen the development environments of both clubs.
“Mjällby AIF is very much looking forward to building a long-lasting and sustainable collaboration with Halton Hawks FC,” said Daniel Pettersson, Responsible for District and Club Cooperations at Mjällby AIF. “We see tremendous value in sharing knowledge and experience related to the development of players and coaches. Halton Hawks FC Technical Director Vasco Nunes believes the partnership represents an important step forward in the club’s long-term vision.
“At Halton Hawks FC, we have always believed that developing better players begins with developing better coaches,” said Nunes. “This partnership gives our coaches and players the opportunity to learn from the current champions of Sweden and one of the country’s most respected development clubs. At the same time, it allows us to share our own philosophy, knowledge, and experiences.”

Mjällby AIF captured its first Allsvenskan championship in 2025 before completing a historic double by winning the 2026 Swedish Cup. The club defeated Hammarby 2–1 in the cup final, adding another major honour to one of the most successful periods in its history.
The partnership reflects the shared belief of both clubs that sustainable success is built through continuous education, collaboration, innovation, and a strong commitment to developing people both on and off the field.
