4 Zumba workshops in Chatham this Fall!!

I can still remember my first Zumba class. The year was 2010. Danza Kuduro was playing full blast in the Uni gym. 🎶 It was love at first shimmy. 😍 It also felt really intimidating, as I was dipping my big toe in Latin rhythms for the very first time. I remember thinking "Wow, how does the instructor make it look so effortless and fluid? She must be a professional dancer! I'll never master those moves".

As the late Bob Ross would tell his viewers : "Talent is a pursued interest". I continued to attend Zumba classes regularly and decided to become an instructor myself in 2017. And I practiced, boy did I practice. I found my own style through the motions and the rhythms.

While I am a fierce Zumba lover and defender, it's traditional teaching format (just do what I do and try to follow along) doesn't suit every learning style. If you're like me, you need the moves to be broken down BEFORE integrating them into a routine. This is how the idea of offering a deeper dive into the basic Zumba styles was born.

I am very excited to announce that, in collaboration with Barre House Studio in Chatham, I will be offering four (4) workshops this Fall 🍂🍁 as part of the Roots to Dancefloor series! 💃🏻🎉

Get ready for some hands on teaching, a bit of history and A LOT of fun! 😁

Mark your calendars! 📅 Here's a snapshot of the schedule :

- Merengue 🇩🇴 : September 13th at 11 AM
- Salsa 🇨🇺 : September 19th at 11 AM
- Cumbia 🇨🇴 : September 26th at 11 AM
- Reggaeton 🇵🇦 🇵🇷 : October 3rd at 11 AM

Every workshop is a standalone class. You can sign up via the Momence app or the Barre House website.

C'est avec grand plaisir que je vous annonce le retour des séances hebdomadaires de Zumba au Carrefour Beausoleil pour la saison automne hiver 2026!💃🏻 Grâce à l'engagement du Carrefour dans ce projet (Merci M. Kapampa!), les cours seront GRATUITS!!! (Oui, vous avez bien lu). Donc vous aurez seulement de besoin d'espadrilles confortables, d'une bouteille d'eau et d'un bon sens de l'auto-dérision! Aucune inscription n'est nécessaire.

Le Zumba est une activité accessible pour tous les niveaux de mise en forme. 💪🏻 C'est votre chance de voir si c'est pour vous!

Les cours auront lieu dans la Galerie Artcadienne les mardis à 18h à compter du 8 septembre.

The end of summer (😭) also means back to routine! 📅

I'm thrilled to announce the return of weekly Zumba classes at Carrefour Beausoleil for the Fall/Winter 2026 season! 💃🏻 Thanks to Carrefour's commitment to this project (Thank you, Mr. Kapampa!), the classes will be FREE!!! (Yes, you read that right). So all you'll need are comfortable sneakers, a water bottle, and a good sense of humor! No registration is required.

Zumba is an activity accessible to all fitness levels. 💪🏻 This is your chance to see if it's for you!

Classes will be held in the Artcadienne Gallery on Tuesdays at 6 PM starting September 8th.

I am so excited to see you guys and dance my little heart out! 💜
