some new old wheels on my daughter's 1997 GMC Sierra. Tonneau cover & steps removed, leveled the front & added new proper "Z71" size tires on late 1990's Denali wheels. Definitely looks a lot better now.

Went to the annual Canadian Falcon Fairlane Comet Club Falcon / Fairlane / Comet club show today and ended up parked next to another 69 Falcon that we sold as a project 15 years ago and hadn't see since (sold as a roller needing a bunch of work - last pic when we owned it)

The only thing I hate more than maintenance on a winter be**er is having to do stuff twice........

Had a transmission leak in the bellhousing spraying a mist of fluid. Pulled the trans, replaced the converter seal, bushing, pump o-ring and gasket then finished reassembling it Friday. Started the Tahoe up - SAME DAMN LEAK. ugh.

pulled everything again today and pressure tested the converter - and its got a crack at the snout. FML. What a pain in the ass.

mental note - always check the converter!!!!!!!

lots of work for no real reward (other than fewer puddles & a lower trans fluid bill 😂)

Parked next to 2_tone_95obs 's gorgeous 95 at the BCHRA show Saturday, and my daughter ended up buying a 97 GMC on the way home lol. Grandpa fresh - needs some of that removed (running boards, mudflaps, fiberglass tonneau cover), then it'll be good (and now up to 5 GMC's ar the house as well as 2 chevrolets cosplaying as GMC's 😂)

Winter be**er maintenance - everyone's favorite task..... Torque converter seal is leaking (badly) so the trans had to come out of the be**er Tahoe. Looks like the converter is newer, so the pump bushing is probably shot (assuming the seal was replaced whenever the converter was changed). Way too much work to fix a leak 😂 (and I really need to get a hoist). On a more fun note - a 3D printed steering wheel adapter for my little bead roller so I can ditch the incredibly inconvenient handle.
