Week number three of canoe kayak kids summer camp in the books. Rainy weather early in the week made for some days spent inside getting creative with indoor games. The kids all approached these days with a positive attitude and a smile on their face. The later half of the weeks weather turned around and the group spent as much time as possible outside enjoying their time on the credit river and learning new boat skills to be showed off on Fridays regatta day!

Super fun week 2 at MCC Summer Camp! Lots of kids this week filling up two dragon boats and topped off with an exciting day of racing and BBQ Friday. Lots of smiling faces this week and it was great to see canoekayak kids showing up with great attitudes and finding moments of joy even on stormy days.

The first week of summer camp was a BLAST! Looking forward to another fun filled week on the beautiful credit river.

ATTENTION MCC SUMMER CAMPERS AND PARENTS! With full day programs we are introducing a daily opt in lunch offering for $10 per day. Each day will have one offering including a main dish and snack. Campers are encouraged to drink water throughout the day by refilling their water bottle at our water fountains on site. Additionally, the Friday BBQ and regatta day will be of no extra cost to campers this summer! Therefore opt-in lunch options are for Monday through Thursday and Fridays lunch is automatically provided. If this is of interest, you may opt into one day or all four days based on preferences of yourself and your child. An email will be sent out to parents the Wednesday before your campers week starts at MCC with a link to the google form that you can use to opt in for lunches Monday through Thursday and you can also select your campers preference for the Friday BBQ. Therefore, even if you do not want to opt in for lunches Monday through Thursday please still follow the link to indicate this and let us know of your campers BBQ preference.

The daily hot lunch options listed will only be available through pre order and cannot be ordered on the day of. However, there will be other offerings that are available by order AFTER hot lunches are served including healthy snack options, sandwiches, and FREEZIES. These options may be limited due to resources of the canteen that day or week therefore counting on these options for your child to have lunch is not recommended. This menu can be viewed on our website.

The Mississauga Canoe Club is having an Open House this coming Saturday, April 20th from 11am to 1pm. Please drop in to 31 Front St N to tour our facility and meet our staff. We can provide information on programs that will give you & your family confidence on the water & in the gym - from Summer Camps to Masters groups, recreational & competitive. We hope you'll come by & say hello!
