Posted • Introducing the 1st Fil-Can Coaches, Trainers, and Therapists Summit powered by The Movement Lab, RGT Basketball, and Revibe.

The Summit will be hosted by Krisjon Vargas of Canada Basketball and Co-Founder of The Movement Lab, Ray Montaniel, the Owner of RGT Basketball and Director of Fil-Can Nation Select, and Josh Alferez, Co-Founder of Revibe.

The Summit aims to bring together some of top Fil-Canadian coaches, trainers, and therapists in the basketball community with the goal of elevating and empowering the next generation of Fil-Canadian basketball players. We want to work together to provide the support and guidance for our athletes.

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!
I haven’t posted in over a year, so I think I pick up where I left off…Philippines, Basketball and Family

I’m getting ready to head out on a basketball journey with my family and I can’t help buy look back at the last time we did this in Manila

I met the most resilient, industrious, kind-hearted and gifted people…MY PEOPLE, the filipino people and I’m honoured to know that I came from them

So I take these experiences and share it. For the first time, there will be FOUR Filipinos on the Canadian National Basketball team vying for a spot at the Olympics. I want to make sure that the next generation of my family, of filipinos (especially my Brown Skin Ladies), and of Canadian basketball players TRULY know that DREAMS COME TRUE…we can do ANYTHING…TOGETHER

COVID-19 causes an illness similar to the flu: fever, cough and shortness of breath.
The fatality rate is highest in those that are elderly
The estimate of risk to athletes (i.e., younger and healthier) is thought to be at a 0.3% fatality rate

A few years back, we went to an elementary school in the Philippines to visit a friend who taught there. We thought we were going there to inspire them, but we quickly realized that they were inspiring us.

We want to give them a chance to have every opportunity to fulfill their dreams....just like us...

What have we done with it? Not much TBH. We need help to re-focus, but our goal is to educate through health and wellness. Let me know if you can help!

How are we starting the New Year, but more importantly, how are we going to finish the month?!?!
The 3rd Monday of the New Year is known as BLUE MONDAY and it's a real thing to manage!
But as always, remember that you're not alone...you've got a family, several friends and a team to lean on!
Sometimes getting over the hump is as easy as asking for help or better yet, coming to hang out with us in our InfraRed sauna or getting a warm hug...
