What is Dynamometer?
A dynamometer, also known as a “dyno” and is a device that measures force, torque or power. For drivetrain applications, a dyno is designed to create a load to duplicate various speeds (RPM) and torque (Nm or lbs.-ft) requirements. This in turn provides a snapshot of the drivetrain performance for comparison to the manufacturer’s specifications. Typically, a dynamometer gives the operator the ability to vary the load applied to the
unit under test to mimic specific requirements.
Our technician’s carefully dis-assemble, wash and inspect each part and if any part that does not comply with OEM specs are quoted and replaced. For each unit a cause of Failure report is done to assist in identifying any other issue’s on the machine. When testing our qualified technician’s records and reports all testing data and insurer’s it meets or exceeds original equipment specifications. We rebuilt this ITL 6 speed transmission that are used in various types of off highway equipment such as forklifts, telehandlers, backhoes and wheel loaders. Customer sent this unit in as it was slipping in certain gears. We found worn charge pump which did not supply the proper clutch pressures, intern allowing the clutch disc to slip damaging the disc’s, clutch drum and contaminate the transmission and damage other parts.
