Many people give their dog the best food that they can, be it fresh food, dry kibble, or canned. Something many people overlook are the treats they give their dogs. Just as you would for their food, something to look for when you purchase treats for your dog is to read the ingredient labels.

Single or limited ingredient (we prefer single)
How many portions per bag (grams or ounces can be deceiving if you're paying more for a moist treat)
When was it made - fresher is always better
Where the treats were produced - not just packaged

Avoid chemicals like BHA, propylene glycol, Yellow #5.
Avoid products made overseas
Avoid cookies and biscuits - they're loaded in calories!
