Awards Ceremony of the 4th Mississauga Mayor's Cricket Fetsival - Twenty20 Cup
Congratulations to Asapient-Thunderbolts for winning the coveted Mississauga Mayor's Twenty20 Cup on Sunday, September 29!!! They had a tough competition with Ghaznavi Cricket Club in the final held on the Courtneypark Cricket Field. Prior to it, Asapient-Thunderbolts won the semi-final with Oakville Pros held at Iceland Cricket Field and Ghazanavi Cricket Club defeated Milton Marvels at the Courtneypark Cricket Field. The awards ceremony was held at 5 PM and the trophies, medals, and mementos were presented to the teams by the Ward 5 Councillor; Hon. Bonnie Crombie, Ward 6 Councillor; Hon. Ron Starr, and MPP Mississauga East-Cooksville, Hon. Dipika. Both Asian Television Network (ATN) and ROGERS TV covered the final and the ceremony!

What a beautiful day it was to play cricket and congratulations to the top team of the four pools: Milton Marvels (Pool A), Oakville Pros (Pool B), Exiom-Thunderbolts/Asapient-Thunderbolts (Pool C) and Ghaznavi Cricket Club (Pool D). The semi-finals are scheduled on Sunday, Sept. 29 at Courtneypark and Iceland from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM followed by the final and 3rd position games from 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM. Each team will get a memento from the Chief Guest, Hon. Mayor of Mississauga, during the awards ceremony on Sunday, Sept. 29 at 4:45 PM at Courtneypark Cricket Field. ROGERS TV and ATN will cover the final and the awards/closing ceremony.
