Another incredible community project completed for Canadian Tire Jumpstart in the City of Cambridge.

Hespeler Optimist Park in Cambridge, Ontario is now home to a new multi-sport recreation space, creating an inclusive place for kids of all ages and abilities to play.

The facility features barrier-free access to a full basketball court, two dedicated shooting areas with height-adjustable basketball hoops, a multi-use tennis and pickleball court, a multi-sensory area, accessible seating, and shade structures for the entire community to enjoy.

Two new places to play in the Township of Adjala-Tosorontio. 🏓

Dekker Street Park and Haley Park are now home to four brand new dedicated outdoor pickleball courts, with two courts at each location.

Built from the ground up, these new facilities expand local recreation opportunities and reflect the continued growth of pickleball across the community, creating more space for residents of all ages to stay active, connect, and enjoy the game.

A couple of fresh new places to play in 🏀🏓🏒

As part of the City’s Parks Renewal Plan, we completed the surfacing at two community parks. Alex Mackenzie Park now features a multi-use basketball and ball hockey court, complete with new sport equipment, while Burgoyne Woods Park is home to eight brand new dedicated pickleball courts.

Great to see both facilities complete and ready for the community to enjoy.

Surface preparation, low spot repairs and acrylic resurfacing are underway at Fowley Park in . The colour comes next. 👀

A fresh new look for T.B. McQuesten Community Park in Hamilton. 🏀🎾

As part of the park’s recent renovation, the sport facilities now feature a dedicated tennis and pickleball court alongside a full-size basketball court, with the surfacing completed across both spaces.

The basketball court takes on a character of its own, featuring a custom mural brought to life through four shades of blue and a bold black silhouette incorporating recognizable elements of Hamilton’s landscape and industrial heritage.

New sport equipment completes both facilities, including City Hoops Gooseneck+ basketball systems, the same style of hoop found on many iconic basketball courts across the country.

The project also celebrates the anniversary of the Wentworth District 3x3 Championship, happening on August 22nd and continues the legacy of Thomas Baker McQuesten, whose vision helped shape many of Hamilton’s parks and recreational spaces.
