Mrs. Lawrence and Miss Monica are teaming up once again this season to deliver a pointe curriculum that challenges, inspires, and helps our senior dancers grow in skill and artistry 🩰

At JLSD, we believe that working together makes us stronger. With two pointe classes each week, one with Mrs. Lawrence and one with Miss Monica, our senior dancers have the opportunity to learn from both teachers’ perspectives, teaching styles, and expertise.

FAQ time! 🤔 Can we watch class every week?

To encourage independence, every dancer regardless of age will enter the studio independently of their caregiver(s). As such, while you cannot watch your dancers’ class(es) on a weekly basis, there will be ample opportunities provided for you to come watch classes and/or performances throughout the season 💃🌟

Do you have everything you need for a successful dance season at JLSD? Here's the ultimate checklist:
✨ A dance bag
✨ JLSD uniform pieces and/or appropriate dance attire for adult & hip hop classes
✨ Appropriate footwear for each class
✨ Supplies to put your hair in a secure bun (needed for dancers with long hair). Exceptions: The Littles Series and Hip Hop
✨ A water bottle
✨ A willingness to work hard and HAVE FUN!

Know someone who would love to dance with us? Tell them about JLSD! Currently registered JLSD families can earn JLSD credit when they refer a new-to-JLSD dancer who registers for an eligible class and completes their registration commitment.

✨ $25 JLSD credit for each eligible full-season class registration
✨ $15 JLSD credit for each eligible 10-week class registration

The more they register for, the more you earn! There’s no limit to the number of dancers you can refer.

Note: Make sure both you and your referral let us know who referred them when they register so we can keep track. The referral program applies to eligible full-season and 10-week classes. Warm Weather programs and special events are excluded. Referral credit is applied after the referred dancer completes their registration commitment.

FAQ time! 🤔 What is included in your fees? We know that cost is an important factor, so let's talk about what our fees cover.

We're committed to providing a well-rounded and enriching dance experience for your dancer, so our fees cover much more than just lessons. They include a recital costume, tights, and earrings for first-year students, plus our OnStage package: a recital t-shirt, video access, and a memory book filled with photos from our season! Note: Any exceptions to this will be outlined in the class description.

We also host community and parent/caregiver appreciation events throughout the year, like hot chocolate in the winter and fun prize giveaways, to build a strong sense of community among our dance families.
