The goal of a personal trainer is not to simply prescribe mindless exercises to get you out of breath the fastest, or the most sore tomorrow morning. Anyone can do that. The goal is to help you understand the importance of exercise and exercise selection. Its to show you how to exercise safely and effectively. I've always tried to make it a point to explain why I'm having you do the exercises I choose. Its always nice when it all comes full circle, in emails like this.
