We hold onto things …. “Just let it go,” they say. Easier said than done. I’ve been learning for the past 15 years how to use our bodies to release held trauma. I incorporate these methods into my therapy practice and into the yoga “Mind-Body” classes I teach. You might be surprised to learn that the body holds onto things even after the mind thinks it has let it go. Many people also minimize or justify their traumas - “it wasn’t that bad” …. We try to rationalize or bury those moments that caused us to freeze, fight or flee as normal or just a part of life…. But the body isn’t as forgiving or forgetful. What are you holding on to?

Everyone Around You is Grieving. Go Easy.
The day my father died, I was at the grocery store buying bananas. I remember thinking to myself, “This is insane. Your dad just died. Why the hell are you buying bananas?” But we needed bananas. We’d be waking up for breakfast tomorrow morning, and there wouldn’t be any bananas—so there I...

My yogi friends will appreciate this video .... especially around 9 minutes in...she talks about how our bodies hold blockages and then other parts of our body will overcompensate by overworking and this continues until we have a constricted body - she talks about how we can realign our bodies and retune joint position and mobility. She speaks to REMEMBERING our true flowing nature rather than learning it....

I read this article this morning and am wondering how many people this resonates with.. I know I see it amongst my friends and I could definitely relate to many of the fears and regrets. I’m so thankful for the supports I have found when these types of fears arise... my yoga and fitness practices which are so essential for stress relief! My family and friends.
I heard of a woman (36 years old) in my community who committed su***de last week. My friend told me Friday that her husband has announced he’s leaving for a younger woman. Another friend shared her battles with an eating disorder. Another friend struggles as she chooses between staying home with her kids and leaving behind the corporate world or taking on a new challenge to keep herself in the game - which ultimately would mean more stress, starting anew but also some security financially and not fearing what this article says about the difficulty for women to return to work. Another friend told me she is struggling post divorce to find work and has admittedly isolated herself from friends because she can’t bear to hear about their “easy” lives while she is struggling. I have friends who struggle with their kids - don’t we all?! Friends who wish they had kids. I share this article because so much of it resonated with what I see around me. It’s depressing but I think we need to be aware of the pressures on us and support each other. We can have peace of mind knowing we have each others’ backs.
To any of you going through this please know you are not alone.

The basic antibac package makes an awesome gift (enviro cloth and window polishing cloth- best cloths ever!)
The body cloths are also awesome.
And the cleaning paste made with coconut oil and natural marble chalk flour is also one of my favourites.
Let me know! Can be shipped as a present also!
