Dear Forge Community — Past & Present,

After 10 years of building a home for powerlifters in Mississauga, I’ve made the incredibly difficult decision to shut down the powerlifting side of Forge.

What we created wasn’t just a gym — it was a movement. A space where people found purpose, broke limits, and built something real together. I’m forever grateful to everyone who was part of that journey.

But the truth is, running a space like this comes at a cost — mentally, emotionally, financially. After years of giving everything I had, it’s time to prioritize myself and my family.

Forge is not closing. We’re still 24/7, and our focus is evolving.

We’re doubling down on what’s thriving — our martial arts programs (Gracie Humaita BJJ & Thicc Boy Fight Club), sport-specific training, small group and personal coaching, and Apex Health & Performance.

We’re also expanding: Muay Thai, Boxing, and a more dynamic, inclusive approach to strength and resistance training.

To those who truly supported this place — thank you. And to Jalen Lennon and Stephen Stella — your loyalty, leadership, and heart kept this dream alive far longer than it could’ve lasted without you.

This isn’t the ending I hoped for — but it’s the one I needed.
