MAY 2026 || ATHLETE OF THE MONTH
BERENICE MONDRAGON
Seven years ago, Berenice found CrossFit during a big life transition after moving to Canada. What started as a way to adapt quickly became a place to grow, be challenged, and genuinely have fun.
She shows up with consistency, patience, and purpose.
For Berenice, it’s not just about the lifts (though she loves her cleans and deadlifts). It’s about the feeling, the energy, and proving to herself — every single day — that she’s capable of more.
She respects the process, focuses on technique, and celebrates the small wins that add up over time. Those are the moments that remind her how far she’s come.
CFPC has become her happy place — and it shows. Her positive energy lifts everyone around her, and her presence makes our community stronger.
Her advice:
Be patient. Focus on the fundamentals. Show up. And have fun.
Berenice, we’re so pumped to have you as May Member of the Month!

APRIL 2026 || ATHLETE OF THE MONTH
ALICE TOKAREVA
Alice joined CFPC in October 2025, looking to add more fitness into her life while balancing a busy university schedule. After wanting to try CrossFit for a long time, she finally took the leap — and it quickly became so much more than just a workout.
Since starting, CrossFit has been a true game changer. She has grown stronger, fitter, and more confident, but even more than that, the gym has become a second home — a place where she can reset, feel calm, and leave the outside world behind.
Her favorite movement is the clean and jerk because of the focus, technique, and challenge it demands, and because it constantly reminds her there is always room to grow.
Alice is especially proud of achieving things she once never thought possible — from kipping pull-ups to rope climbs, and even taking on the 2026 CrossFit Open, where she pushed through nerves and surprised herself with what she could do.
What she loves most about CFPC is the people: the support, encouragement, and the way everyone celebrates each other’s progress, big and small.
Her advice for anyone starting: Do it scared. Some of the best growth happens when you try something that feels uncomfortable.
Alice, your consistency, courage, and energy inspire everyone around you. We are so proud to have you as part of CFPC and can’t wait to see what ‘s next for you!
Congratulations on Member of the Month April!

MARCH 2026 || ATHLETE OF THE MONTH
YANNIS GIANNOTIS
About a year and a half ago, Yannis walked into PC CrossFit (thanks Peter!) looking for something that had been missing. After years of competitive soccer, he missed the structure, the intensity, and the feeling of training with purpose. While the season of competition may look different now, his drive to challenge himself never went away.
CrossFit gave him that outlet again — a place to work hard, be part of a team, and grow as an athlete in a new way.
He gravitates toward movements that demand both strength and coordination — the kind that require patience and practice to truly improve. One of his proudest accomplishments has been learning kipping movements after eight months of steady, consistent work. It’s a great reminder that progress doesn’t happen overnight — it’s built, rep by rep.
If you’ve ever trained at 6AM, you know that crew becomes part of your story. Yannis shows up before the sun, puts in the work, and sets the tone for his day. No matter what comes later, he’s already done something challenging for himself.
He may not be on the soccer field anymore, but he’s still pursuing growth — physically and mentally.
His advice to anyone just starting: be okay with being new. It takes time. Show up, listen, stay consistent, and trust the process. Confidence follows commitment.
Yannis leads by example — through dedication, consistency, and the standards he sets for himself.
We’re proud to have you as part of our community. Congratulations, Yannis on March Member of the Month!

FEBRUARY 2026 II ATHLETES OF THE MONTH
Luciano & Lina Miranda
This February we’re celebrating a love story that didn’t begin in the same place, but grew stronger because they chose the journey together.
Lina discovered CrossFit first. Luch wasn’t sure it was for him, so she quietly started on her own. Then a vacation with friends turned into casual workouts at an Airbnb — no pressure, just movement. Somewhere in that space, curiosity replaced doubt. What he found wasn’t just a workout, but a feeling he wanted to keep chasing. Ten years later, they’re still chasing it side by side.
CrossFit became more than fitness. It gave them a shared mindset built on effort, patience, and resilience. Luch says he’s fitter now than in his semi-pro soccer days, but what matters most goes beyond the physical. It’s the quiet pride of showing up consistently and choosing hard things together. Over time, those habits carry into everything else. They don’t just train for workouts — they train for life.
Their favorite movement is the clean — powerful, technical, explosive. When it clicks, strength and timing meet for a split second and everything feels effortless.
For anyone starting, their message is simple: check your ego, embrace the discomfort, and stay patient. You’re not trying to win a workout. You’re building strength, habits, and confidence that last. The hard days aren’t failures — they’re proof you’re growing.
They call CrossFit type two fun: tough in the moment, unforgettable in the pride that follows. And that pride is for you.
Lina & Luch remind us that love isn’t just about sharing the easy days. It’s about choosing the hard ones too, supporting each other through them, and coming out stronger on the other side. That’s a story worth celebrating this February — and long after. ❤️
