A perfect ending to our days in Madina 🤍, organized by

Our last evening took us somewhere special, a farm just outside Madina. Although it was freezing, we had the best time just before leaving for umrah the next morning.

Archery, horseback riding & a delicious dinner Alhamdulillah.

Everything was so thoughtfully organized.
It was the best way to end the peaceful days of Madina and start the busy and productive days of Makkah.

Morocco showed me how much growth lives on the other side of comfort.

Imagine staying inside a huge garden, a peaceful, surrounded by nature, retreat. This is very close to the Atlas Mountains.
(2nd video🤭😂) Something funny happened in the first night though. I wanted to take a video and then all of a sudden, hear this wild animal. No, it wasn’t an animal as I had imagined. It was a peacock and it was caged. But I didn’t know better. Ran to my brand new friends and grabbed their hands and walked to my room.

Anyway, this was one of the most beautiful experiences for me. This retreat was booked out for our group with so it was complete ours to enjoy and explore.

We had all our meals together, had a henna dance party, bonfire and lots of conversations with beautiful sisters who came from all around the world.

Parents, I have seen too many kids and teens carrying family secrets without knowing where to turn. The parents are dealing with the heaviness of it all so they aren’t able to help their kids navigate through difficult times but at the same time the kids aren’t allowed to speak to anyone else! How does this make sense?! I hope that we can be there to help our kids through difficult stages of our lives and if we can’t, we should do everything to provide that help so that the kids aren’t going through everything alone.

Everything we found out about WS is all really disturbing and we’re processing it in our own unique ways. I wanted to share my thoughts and suggestions and hear your thoughts as well.

[Part 3/10- Morocco] I was in tears.. The study chambers (slide to see the second video) at Madrasa Ben Youssef, were there for students to live and study in. I was in awe of the dedication they must have had to travel from their regions and stay at the Madrasa just so they can gain knowledge under the scholars. The architecture was absolutely gorgeous and breathtaking but my mind went to the sacrifices the students of knowledge had to make while they were there. The video here captures one of the bigger rooms, where they have a sleeping area on the top. But the other rooms are tiny! SubhanAllah.

I am so happy to be a part of this journey. In the past I've been a part of DiscoverU as a student and then as a mentor as well. It always brought me so much joy, transformation and closeness to Allah alhamdulillah.

But this time, it's also causing me a lot of pain. I have never lost a teacher and mentor so beloved and someone who impacted my life so much. Even now, there are times I quickly skip his videos because it just hurts too much to hear him speak. I have to mentally prepare myself to watch his videos. May Allah have mercy on him.

Although there is sadness and grief, I jumped on board when I was asked if I'd like to be one of the T.A.'s. It's a no brainer for me because why wouldn't I be a part of something that Legacy of Muhammad Alshareef] taught? Not only will I be a part of it, but I'll do everything I can to help you in this journey as well.

This isn't a "dua course". This is a process through which you will evolve as a person. Your thoughts about Allah will be challenged and your conviction in Allah will increase.

And you know what's another thing that will happen? You will start to see proof of Allah giving you what you are asking for. The direction of your life will change through dua.

"To Allah we belong and to Him we return.

Today, Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef - founder of DiscoverU and AlMaghrib - suddenly passed away.

This man was a giant in our Ummah, taught us the power of Dua, and to always rely on Allah. He raised a nation of Dua makers in all of us.

So today, we ask Allah to make us all a hujjah for him in the Akhirah, for everything he taught us to be counted in his scale of good deeds with him, and that Allah beautifies his reception, forgive him his sins, and enter him into Al-Firdaws.

Shaykh Muhammad was healthy with no illness, but life is not promised.

He was someone who took full advantage of his time spending it on what mattered most and what would lead to goodness in the Akhirah.

He has always said that the identity he aspires to be is that of a righteous man (as Najashi was described by the Prophet ﷺ - "today a righteous man has died"). We pray that with Allah, he is entered among the righteous. A true nation builder.

May all of his work continue to be a sadaqah jariyah for him until the Day of Judgment.

May Allah grant his family patience in this difficult time.
