🏒 Hockey season is almost here, Lightning! ⚡

Time to dig out those hockey bags and make sure everything still fits! 😅

Before hitting the ice, take a few minutes to check your player’s equipment from helmet to skates — and yes, maybe investigate whatever has been living at the bottom of that hockey bag all summer. 😂

✔️ Check the fit
✔️ Make sure nothing is missing
✔️ Replace anything that’s been outgrown
✔️ Get those skates sharpened
✔️ Label your gear!

A little preparation now makes that first trip back to the rink a whole lot easier.

🏒 DIVISIONAL COORDINATOR APPLICATIONS ARE REOPENING! 🏒

We’re giving our membership another opportunity to apply for our Recreational Division Coordinator positions for the upcoming season!

After receiving fewer applications than we had hoped for during our initial call for volunteers, we’ve decided to reopen applications and give more members a chance to get involved.

So, what does a Divisional Coordinator actually do?

Think of them as the link between the LMHA Board and our recreational teams within their division. They help keep things organized, keep information flowing, and make sure our recreational teams have the support they need throughout the season.

✨ Some of the things you’ll help with include:

🏒 Supporting player evaluations and assisting in creating fair and balanced teams

👥 Helping ensure all bench staff have their required certifications completed before the deadlines

📅 Assisting with ice times and divisional activities

📋 Helping ensure team forms, rosters and other required paperwork are completed

📣 Sharing important LMHA and Hockey New Brunswick information with teams

👕 Assisting with jersey distribution

🤝 Helping address questions or concerns within the division and connecting with the Board when needed

🏆 Helping coordinate divisional tournaments and other events

📢 Keeping the Board informed of anything happening within the division that may affect other teams

Most importantly, you’re there to support our recreational teams, coaches and families and help make the season run as smoothly as possible!

If you’re organized, approachable, enjoy working with people and want to be more involved in our hockey community, we’d love to have you join the team!

🏒 PARENTS — DID YOU REGISTER YOUR CHILD FOR HOCKEY BUT FORGET TO UPLOAD YOUR DRIVER’S LICENCE? 🚨

THIS IS A REQUIRED AND MANDATORY PART OF THE REGISTRATION PROCESS.

Hockey New Brunswick (HNB) requires proof of residency for every player to verify their address and ensure they are registered with the appropriate hockey association.

If you haven’t already done so, please log into your child’s Sportle account and upload a clear photo of your valid driver’s license showing your current address.

📌 WHERE TO UPLOAD IT:

➡️ Log into your child’s Sportle account
➡️ Go to the Documents section
➡️ Upload it under Proof of Residency
⚠️ IMPORTANT: A valid driver’s license is the only document accepted by HNB for this requirement.

Please make sure:

✅ Your name is clearly visible
✅ Your current address is clearly visible
✅ The expiry date is visible and the license is not expired
✅ The photo is clear and easy to read
