Annual General Meeting Election of Officers.

Like many fish and game clubs in NB we held our AGM and election of officers in December. Most positions were filled by returning incumbents with the exception of one pivotal change,
incoming new president Mr.Shawn Lewis. The addition of Shawn to our executive brings a dynamic new voice to the table, which should help guide the club in 2026.

The 2026 Moncton Fish & Game Executive Members List:
● President Shawn Lewis
● VP Gerry Pheby
● Treasurer Derek Woods
● Secretary Tony Wallace
● Director at Large Reid Beck
● Director at Large Kevin Davidson
● ASF/NBWF Liaison Ron Cybulski
● Membership Director Hugh O’Neill
● Range Manager Jonathan Coates
● Chief Range Safety Officer JR MacDonald
● Past President Chuck Rouse

On behalf of the current executive body and the MF&GA membership as a whole, we thank past president Chuck Rouse for his efforts over the past several years to modernize and assist the development of the range and its facilities into the location it is
today, with outbuildings and maintained grounds we could only dream of a few short years ago. Chuck's transition into a past president role frees Mr. Robert Snider of his duties, and
we wish him all the best in the future.

Guest Speaker at Dec1st Annual General Meeting

Mr. James Foster, former reporter for the Times & Transcript newspaper, and avid
outdoorsman, was MF&GA’s guest speaker for the evening. Presenting his experiences with his favorite prey, coyotes, Jim went into great detail covering all aspects of the hunt, from stalking, to camouflage, intelligence and speed of the coyote, best time of day and year to hunt, and baiting practices. Jim’s style and pace of speech was quite engaging, and his approximately 40 minutes on the floor seemed to fly by, and whether on an old hunting story about past experiences or giving advice on proper gear to wear in the field he had the attention of the room.

On November 29th three local fish and game clubs participated in a Ladies Turkey Shoot. It was a beautiful sunny morning with temperatures around zero. The Buckskinners Black Powder club hosted the event which saw ladies from the Moncton Fish and Game and Albert County Hunters Association attend. A total of 13 ladies participated. Over half of the ladies had never shot a rifle before so this was a great introduction to target shooting. The Buckskinners provided range officers and had the fire on in the clubhouse with hotdogs, chili, coffee and pop for participants and volunteers. Financial contributions came from the Moncton F&G and the NB Conservation Officer Association.

NB Power has had a contractor clearing trees under the hydro line right of way along Victoria Road. It is easy to miss the range driveway as some landmark trees are gone. Improved visibility when exiting however.
