🎯Beat My Own Track and Time Record
Current Record: 1:10.838 (TA-5) Complexe ICAR
Target 2026: 1:09. # # # high

Mechanical failures ended those hopes:
🔧 Cracked front brake rotor
🔧 Stripped RF brake caliper bolt
🔧 Loose front shock top nut + broken damping adjuster
🔧 Damaged front axle + cracked boot

This forced earlier braking, smoother inputs, and a much safer approach just to keep the car stable.

Despite the issues, the #96 Civic Si still managed a 1:11.8 in practice.

As of today, the 1:10.838 ICAR track record remains unbeaten.

🔥P2 finish 🥈 Circuit Mont-Tremblant ! 🔥
Event: Track and Time – September 2nd
#96 Civic Si ‘12 | Greg Painson

Cool 25–26°C weather with solid grip. Still on my 2023 used tires, I focused on keeping the car stable through Tremblant’s high-speed corners. A fuel cut limited top speed to 186 km/h, so I taped the grille, hood, and headlight gaps to cut drag and gain a few km/h.

🔹 Best Lap – 1:56.627
⚙️ The Fortune Auto Pro 2-Way Kept the car sharp and consistent.
💨 Not the lap we hoped for, but we maximized everything we had.
🏁 P2 overall, just behind a one-off entry outside the championship.

Solid finish to close the season — fast, composed, and consistent. 👊

Conditions: Blazing 32°C heat
Despite the scorching temps, tough grip, and running on 2023 used tires :

🔹 Pro Track – 1:14.625
⚠️ Constant traffic, no clean lap…
🏁 Still locked in P2, a strong showing ahead of P3 at 1:17.344

🔹 Long Track – 1:59.663
🌡️ Grip dropped off hard in the heat.
💪 Couldn’t break into the 1:58s, but still landed P2 — clear of P3 at 2:04.173

Worth noting — P1 wasn’t competing in the championship, just attending this single event.
That makes this P2 even more satisfying as the top points finish among regular contenders.
