If you’re at McGill student and it’s your first time climbing at Cafe Bloc, it will be FREE! Be sure to say the code STUDENT CB and show your student ID at the front desk. Fill out the online waiver in our linktree and confirm your email address with Cafe Bloc beforehand to save time checking in! Note: if you don’t own shoes you will still need to rent them.

🧗University Competition 🧗‍♀️

Have you ever been interested in comp climbing but unsure of if you’d like it? Want to meet other university students? Is climbing your passion? We have the event for you!

We have been working hard alongside many partners to put together Quebec’s very first inter-university competition! This event is open to all levels of climbing with over 30 boulders from V0-V9+ set especially for you!

We’ve put a lot of work into making this event as accessible as possible. No matter what your skill level is we invite you to join us for an evening of climbing, laughter and fun.

Alongside meeting new students from numerous universities and amazing boulders, you will also receive 1 free when you arrive to the gym and a chance to win prizes!!

Did you know that Montreal has over 10 different climbing gym locations!? Each gym has its own appeal, but nothing quite matches the community driven old school charm of Shakti.

This weekend, Social Sunday will be taking place at this club favorite climbing gym located in the mild-end! Shakti is easily accessible by bus, metro, or biking! (Bixi stand located right next door, hello? 👀) And what's even better! Shakti costs only $11 on Sundays!

Here is a little recap of the past two outdoors trips we hosted earlier this month 🤩

Last week a crew of McGill Climbers went out to Mont-Orford National Park to try some of the classic lines the park has to offer. We hiked up to the boulders to warm up on a cold day and then climbed until sunset. Everyone was trying hard and we saw some spectacular sends. It was a great way to close out the outdoor season with a bang!

Last week a couple of McGill climbers went to Rumney, New Hampshire to pull on some rocks! Despite the chilly temps, the weather turned out beautiful for a weekend of climbing and camping. We were thrilled to bring people out for first time sends and to complete life long projects. We’re excited to host more trips here in the future!
