n 2015 I was hired by the United Nation’s Association of Canada for a contract regarding the FIFA Football for Hope Program.
My main job was to create and Coach an Indigenous soccer team to compete in the Community Cup. As a side bonus I got to bring them to The FIFA Women’s World Cup games in Ottawa.

I found a way to minimize those challenges by using a Team Guide that I want to share with you! Over the years many Coaches have asked me for this document and now I am going to share it with you in a Canva template that can be easily edited and modified! I’ve done all the hard work for you!

This team was supposed to play in the Futsal World Championship in July 2020 — and then the pandemic hit and I had to cancel - and again in 2021 - I had to cancel.
Glad they are back on the court with their 3rd straight win! 🏆⚽️🇨🇦

It makes my heart happy to see these players back on the court! Truly!⚽️🏆🇨🇦
They won their second game 12-1.
And then as a HP Futsal Coach I habitually make a real-time mental list of what needs to be corrected, improved and taught ~ it’s an automatic process as I see plays, tactics and drills flow through my mind’s eye!
The cobwebs of two years of no Futsal play are real.
I am so grateful for my 10 years as a PRO Trainer teaching a national certification course to eager participants as I get to apply the progression I taught to my own Coaching.
It helps me to gauge the focus down to small actionable steps to build up their excellence instead of flooding their minds with everything I see.
Half-time consisted of 3 corrections to focus on - and mostly no comments while they played. Which requires lots restraint from me!
Right now it’s about getting play time, getting their fitness back on track and developing their decision-making through creativity.
The rest will come. Patience is truly a virtue! 🏆⚽️🇨🇦
