Hello Hello! I wanted to share a FREE Vinyasa Yoga with you all. This is a little challenging, but super fun. Share with anyone you'd like. Remember I have an On-Demand video library with over 500 published videos for you to choose from!
This class is a level 1 Vinyasa called TEXAS HOLD 'EM.
Beyoncé just released a new country song called TEXAS HOLD 'EM and it is FIRE!!! Did you know that there is, in fact, a pose in yoga called Cowboy Pose? There is! And it's a cute, accessible, challenge. It kind of blends Warrior 3 with standing on your hand (trust me lol).
So we'll do some cowboy inspired moves, have some fun, and dedicate this class to all the strong, grown women out there. You go Beyoncé!
One of my students suggested that I make this class available to the public because they thought it would be particularly helpful this time of year.
This is a 20 minute, Gentle Yoga Class for Seasonal Affective Disorder and is perfect for beginners and advanced yoga practitioners alike.
Seasonal Affective Disorder (the acronym is SAD) is a clinical form of depression that usually occurs during seasons of less light such as the fall or winter. For years it was debated in terms of validity but today we know better. This is real and it affects many of us to different degrees of intensity.
It is important to get help if you're really feeling the effects of Seasonal Depression and talk to your doctor. I am not here as a cure-all. I am simply here to help alleviate some symptoms of SAD such as fatigue and mental fogginess. This class is not a treatment. The only ways to treat SAD is through psychotherapy, light therapy and medications. So please make sure to talk to your healthcare provider if you're feeling particularly low. You deserve to live a life filled with light and joy.
