Parents should reconsider how they look about martial arts concerning their kids.

I had a client sign up, cuz his kid was bullied in school (big case! , he was beat up physically alsmost everyday).

Took us time to work with him, mentally, physically and build his confidence and skills,up.

Few months later, he was completely a different kid!! He even stood up to one of his bullies, and because of that, he end up becoming his friend!!

What do u think happen after? The parents took everything for granted and stop coming... Problem solved!!!

I was very upset, because of this attitude, specifically when I called his father to take some news, and he just tell me that he don't have time to bring him anymore.
I said ok.... it frustrating yes , but u never know everyone's conditions...so....

But the best part of the story is what happen this week. Fews years after, the father show up again to tell me that his son is getting beat up again. And this time is more serious (of course he is older now), that he mentally have a lot of problems, he don't want to go to school anymore , and he want him to Start training again.

???? it's like u are ordering a pizza when u are hungry? U just come and think things will be solved just because he will start training now?

Martial art is like Car Insurance !! U will be committed to have it every day. And in the same time , u Will prey to never use it!!

That's martial arts!! U don't wait until u have an accident to start paying insurance, it may be to late!!
And stop thinking that in schools we teach your kids to beat others kids. We do the opposite!!
We train then to avoid it! And to do so, they need to have a big confidence on them (but of course, if things goes far, they can defend them self physically).

It's like fighting a drunk person, wherever he say to u , or insult u, u know that this guy is just talking, u know that u are much stronger, and if u put your hand on him you may kill him. U just let him go and never get upset of what he is telling u , and it doesn't affect u at all cuz u have a big confidence on yourself. And if this person goes far, u just mobilize him, u don't want to beat him cuz u have pity for him.

That's what martial arts do!!

Stop taking things for granted .
Martial art is not a hobby!! It's not music or drawing. Lawyers, doctors, workers, boys, girls....wherever what you are or what u do, you should know how u defend yourself.

And Its a life commitment!!!!.
