🏋️ Warmups aren't all doing the same job, and treating them like they are is where a lot of people go wrong. Mobility drills and ramp-up sets are the two that actually earn S-tier — five minutes of mobility prep gets your body ready for the specific movement ahead, and working up to your heavy weight with lighter sets first is the safest, most effective way to get there.

🚴 Cardio has a place too. A few minutes on the bike or rower raises your heart rate and body temperature, which is a solid starting point, but it won't prepare your joints for the actual lifting. Foam rolling can help if you're dealing with a tight or overactive muscle, but it's not something everyone needs before every session. Static stretching is better saved for after your workout — doing it beforehand can actually leave you weaker for your first set.

⏰ And skipping the warmup altogether is the one real mistake on this list. It only takes 10-15 minutes, and that time pays for itself in how your body performs and holds up.

Training at 6am comes with a few risks ⚠️

09/10/2026

You just left work. You're all wound up. And you can't switch off. 😮‍💨

So you pour a glass of w**e, set up on the couch, and start scrolling for hours. You tell yourself you're relaxing, but two hours later, you're still stressed.

None of that actually turns your brain off. Training does, because for that one hour, you can't think about your inbox or your deadlines.

One hour, and you leave lighter than you walked in. 🙌

That's worth a conversation. DM us and let's figure out where to start.

You call yourself lazy, but that's not actually what's happening. 😔

You wake up and move through a day full of decisions: work, kids, plans, emails, everything pulling at you. By the time you get to the gym, there's nothing left to give. That's not laziness. That's depletion.

You shouldn't beat yourself up for not wanting to train. It's normal. Your body and brain ran out of fuel, and no amount of guilt is going to fix that.

So next time you're about to call yourself lazy, ask what actually happened today. You probably didn't lack discipline. You just spent it all before you got here. 💭

"Why should I train? I'm already stressed out." 😮‍💨

I know it sounds backwards. Adding one more thing to a day that's already too full.

But the people who are the most stressed are usually the ones who need it the most.

For one hour, you're in control of what happens to you. You get to let it out instead of holding it in.
And for once, you're doing something for yourself. 🙌

Ask anyone who trains here. No one regrets that hour. 💪

Maria came to us a year ago after falling out of a training routine she used to have. Life got busy, and on top of that her knees and neck had started giving her trouble. A year later, she's down over 25 lbs of fat and held onto the muscle she came in with 📉

She trained with us once a week, and did two more sessions on her own most weeks. That one session together is where we worked on her knees and neck directly, loading them properly instead of avoiding them. She kept a modest, sustainable calorie deficit built around her actual life, tracked her workouts and food consistently, and used SMS reminders so training wasn't something she had to talk herself into every time 📊

None of it was complicated. It was the same few things, done consistently, for twelve months straight.

Great work Maria, we're really proud of you! 👏

We asked the team what was their strangest job before Studio Fit U 🤔

Here's what they had to say 👇

09/04/2026

AI can give you a workout, but it can’t actually coach you. 🤖

AI can suggest exercises, sets, reps, and weights based on the information you give it. And honestly, it can be a pretty useful tool.

The problem? Your training isn’t just a spreadsheet. 📊

A good coach sees how you move. They notice when your technique changes as you fatigue. They know when to push you, when to back off, and when an exercise that looks great on paper simply isn’t the right choice for you. 👀

When it comes to training, nothing replaces an experienced coach who can actually see you, know you, and adapt your training in real time. 💪

That’s the difference between getting a workout and getting coached.
