Amazing post shared by Mendes Brothers this weekend at the IBJJF Worlds Masters 2024 Championship. My exact thoughts on the the BJJ scene but well worded.

while some will try to make you believe gi jiu jitsu is losing it’s space to nogi we can clearly see the sport expanding as a whole. @ibjjf competitions have been breaking records of sign ups event after event and the creation of pro events with prize money, free workshops for the public and seasonal ranking prize show us that new projects are coming to life. at JJCON 2024 @ibjjf had a total of 11 thousand athletes competing, booths with the biggest brands and teams in jiu jitsu were present to attend the fans and multiple free attractions during the three day event were set to benefit the public and bring more value to the event. nogi has a higher potential in terms of super fight shows and online viewers, it’s more relatable to MMA fans and wrestlers as well as people who never practiced the sport. nogi has the power to continue to reach new highs for those who truly succeed as performers. on the other hand gi jiu jitsu has the power to reach the whole family and it has a much larger amount of practitioners and schools around the world. the market in gi jiu jitsu has a lot more potential for schools, franchises, gear companies and tournaments. we will continue to influence our competitors to perform in both gi and nogi, displaying the team technical level and daily work at the highest levels - and we will continue to support all the events that are pushing jiu jitsu to the next level and creating opportunities for the athletes to grow their personal brand and achieve their career goals. congratulations to @ibjjf on this amazing event.
