Peter Bernath a découvert l'aïkido en 1972 et a rejoint le New York Aikikai de Yamada Sensei, élève direct de O Sensei. En 1980, Yamada Sensei l'envoie fonder le Florida Aikikai, devenu l'un des dojos les plus importants des États-Unis. Il est aujourd'hui 8ᵉ dan et Shihan, titre remis par le Doshu Moriteru Ueshiba.

Peter Bernath began aikido in 1972 and joined Yamada Sensei's New York Aikikai. In 1980, Yamada Sensei sent him to found Florida Aikikai, now one of the leading dojos in the United States. He is today 8th dan and Shihan, a title conferred by Doshu Moriteru Ueshiba.

Aikido de la Montagne accueille Peter Bernath Shihan, 8ᵉ dan, instructeur en chef du Florida Aikikai et l'un des enseignants les plus respectés de l'aïkido aux États-Unis.

Ce stage est dédié à la mémoire de Claude Berthiaume Shihan, fondateur du dojo et ami de longue date de Bernath Sensei.

Samedi 26 : cours de 11 h 30 à 16 h, examens à 16 h 15, puis 5 à 7 au dojo.
Dimanche 27 : cours de 10 h 30 à 12 h 30.

Tarifs : 120 $ les deux jours, 100 $ le samedi, 55 $ le dimanche.

Aikido de la Montagne welcomes Peter Bernath Shihan, 8th dan, chief instructor of Florida Aikikai and one of the most respected aikido teachers in the United States.

This seminar is dedicated to the memory of Claude Berthiaume Shihan, founder of our dojo and a longtime friend of Bernath Sensei.

Saturday: classes 11:30 to 4:00, tests at 4:15, then a get-together at the dojo.
Sunday: class 10:30 to 12:30.

Fees: $120 for the weekend, $100 Saturday only, $55 Sunday only.
