//

🚨Danger🚨 The time to order your dream bike for next season is quickly running out. The fall production batch is now full, and only a few more spots remain for our winter production batch. There are some *amazing* deals on build kits and wheels from our suppliers trying to clean out their warehouses, so slide in those DM's and let's talk.

Behold, Sharkie Suprême.  This relaxed gravel geo aluminum bikepacking rig was commissioned by our incredibly talented photographer and represents our most elaborate collaboration to date, combining the art direction of Bianca, the adorable ocean-themed doodles by mural artist , painting services of and expert assembly by .  Ruben did an incredible job under an extremely tight timeline to make this completely unique paintjob happen, a perfect homage to Bianca’s deep love of the ocean.

After buying a Rebicycle during the depths of covid lockdown, Bianca became a close friend and collaborator to the Etique Fabrications team, taking over all photographic duties and bringing a level of professionalism to our social media presence that we could not have achieved on our own.

Shortly after the delivery of her Etique gravel bike, Bianca was selected for a scholarship/mentorship program through , co-founded by the super inspiring .  Through this scholarship program, Bianca was invited to join the team for the 2024 race in Steamboat Springs, Colorado this August (link in bio).  The work of is so, so important.  Everyone deserves to have a space at bicycle events large and small, a properly fitted bicycle, as well as properly fitted bicycle clothing! Bike industry, take note.

Watching Bianca dive headlong into training for her very first race (at over 7000 feet of altitude!) without ever having previously completed a climb of the Houde on her Etique, to progressing within a couple months to multiple pro tour loops in a day, several days a week, has been nothing short of amazing.  Her commitment, drive, and enthusiasm are contagious, and we are honored to have been a part of her journey into the world of bicycles!

Go give Bianca a follow at and hire her for all your photographic needs!

LIGHTNESS – Making the lightest bikes possible has never been part of our driving philosophy.  Frames and components that are long lasting, easy to repair and recycle, robust, and locally manufactured are much more important to us than shaving a few grams. However, our good friend Nikola at wanted to push the limits a bit of what was reasonably possible without spending a fortune or sacrificing strength and serviceability. By using a mix of gravel and road components and some particularly feathery wheels, we got this build well into high-end carbon gravel bike territory. We optimized the geometry for an aggressive racing fit.  We call this geometry option “gravel crit.”   Aero enough to rip laps of the F1 circuit but burly enough to mix it up on singletrack, this really is a do-it-all bike for a do-it-all guy.  And if a new beta tester wants to push the weight even lower, we have some other ideas….

Swipe to the end to see how intense Nik got with the excel sheets.  We actually came in under the predicted weight, with a few little tricks and that incredible fork.

In our efforts to reduce the overall environmental impact of our frame manufacturing, we recently purchased a large inventory of “dead stock” Italian Columbus chromoly tubing left over from the closing of Xprezo, a legendary local manufacturer based in Bromont (RIP).  As with any physical product, the lowest impact way to consume is by using a product that already exists.  The second lowest impact would be to upcycle materials that already exist into something new.  Until our stock of Columbus tubing runs out, we will continue using these excellent tubes to put together some pretty special gravel bikes that come with a pretty special back story.

When building a bike with us, we encourage our riders to choose a theme or a cause that is especially important and meaningful to them.  Mike has been a friend of ours for many years, and when he approached us with this special project in mind, it was a no-brainer to pull out all the stops.  The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day both take place on September 30th and are intended to raise awareness of the individual, family, and communal inter-generational impacts of residential schools, and to promote the concept of “Every Child Matters”.  The orange shirt is a symbol of the stripping away of culture, freedom and self-esteem experienced by Indigenous children over generations.

It is hard to imagine a more big-hearted, family and community-oriented person than Mike, so it comes as no surprise that he wanted his bike to be dedicated to the cause.  When asked about his choice, Mike said “We are all activists and artists who want to express ourselves. I hope the Truth and Reconciliation paint job is a paint job that every Canadian will want!” Same here, Mike.
