In facing obstacles and hardships we learn to be humble. Humility stems from realizing that we are mere mortals of flesh and blood bound to finite constraints rooted in our physical bodies.

Losing 120-pounds was not easy. It’s funny - for some reason, we think that things are supposed to be easy. The reality of it all, is that the things that cause us to grow the most are the most difficult (and are supposed to be difficult). Without challenge, there’s no true change. We need obstacles to overcome and tall mountains to climb. Friction facilitates finding solutions. Through the pain of the journey we cultivate the beauty of our progress through self evolution. Embracing that which we don’t want is hard, but if we can come to terms with the cards we’re dealt (and surrender to the unfolding of things), we can unlock levels beyond our imagination.
Whatever you’re experiencing in your life right now that you don’t like or want, stop, and ask yourself the question, what’s good about this? If you don’t find an immediate answer, ask yourself the question, what could be good about this if there was something that could be good? Questions are the gateways to answers. Ask, and ye shall receive (and find meaning in chaos). Finding the calm within the storm opens up doors of truth beyond your imagination and comprehension.
