Sit. Breathe. Be.
Holy wtf, I have I been doing anything I can to not sit still in the uncomfortableness of my own silence.
So many external distractions I can find to pull me away.
Why is it that the simplest way of being is the hardest?
Why do we stay so busy, in order to deny the essence of who we are?
And by the way, even if you are bored, and have nothing to do, you can still distract yourself from you, It’s a knee jerk reaction. We do it without even realizing it.
And who exactly is “you” that you find within the silence?
To me, my “you” is experienced as presence, stillness, warmth, no desires, no thoughts, no beliefs, just brief powerful moments where everything stops and I find myself with me. It all makes sense and none of it matters.
These moments are fleeting for me but I cherish them because I know, although this is not how I wish to be all day long, I do love being human 🙂, it is the purest experience of me.
It is the gift I give myself for Being in the human experience.
Its mind blowing to me to realize that we are SO MUCH MORE than just this human experience.
You are so much more!
How often do you stop and just sit in the silence?
How often do you listen to the stillness of you?
I know it's not easy for those with busy lives but it only takes a minute. Literally it takes one minute to shut the world down, turn it all off and just be in absolute silence with you.
�And I don’t mean meditation, because even meditation is a distraction. It's a “doing” even if its stillness.
Just sit. Just stare. Just be.
Find you within the uncomfortable silence. It's the greatest gift you can give you ❤️
