Workout in Winter ??
Workout in the winter can be sometimes very hard and I mean I get it. I also don't feel like getting up in the morning at like 6am and walk up to the gym when it is like -20C outside.
BUT...
Like 5 mins after I arrive and I start my session it feels so good and I forget about the cold.
So here are 7 reasons why we should all keep working out or doing some sort of activities or sport during the cold season.
#1 GET SOME SUN
During summer a 10-15 minutes exposure is enough for our body to get all the good vitamins but in the winter it needs more time and it is more difficult especially if we stay inside.
#2 STAY HEALTHY
Research have shown that doing some type of exercises is good for our body and is strengthening our immune system. So to stay away from viral infection keep moving !
#3 BEAT THE WINTER BLUES
That is a huge one for me. I hate being stuck inside and to be honest I really feel better physically and mentally when I get a dose of some sort of exercise regularly !
#4 KEEP WARM
Well that is a good reason, I personally hate to be cold but unfortunately I am born in the wrong country. I notice that when I workout even if it is outside I am never cold (or rarely... maybe when it is -35C... it happens that I am cold ðŸ˜)
#5 AVOID GAINING WEIGHT
In winter, it is easy to bundle up and eat a lot of warm and comfort food. I am not saying it is bad, I don't really feel like a eating cucumber salad when it is snowing outside but at least staying active will keep you in shape and ready for summer !
#6 RELAX & BREATH NICE AIR
In the winter, we are often stuck with heater everywhere we go (like even in the bus ans stuff) so going outside for a nice refreshing (cold/icy) walk is also good for your lungs and you body and mental state. So be courageous and go outside (at least 5 min or until you can't feel your toes anymore).
#7 ENJOY THE WINTER MAGIC
Let's be honest, even if the weather is not always nice during the cold season the scenery and vibe is actually quite nice. Let's enjoy going for a walk and look at the snow flakes or get some friends and go to a ski resort !
