This first pic was taken last Sunday during a beautiful visit to the bountiful farm 🌽 Cameron works at. It was a picture perfect Sunday and my mind, body and soul wellness was at 10+ 🙌

Fast forward the next morning and I woke up with the worst pain in many of my joints, especially my left hand. I have had osteoarthritis since my late 30s starting in my spine, but I have noticed it getting worse in my late 40s and it’s now affecting both knees and hands. Probably a combo of genetics 🧬 and living with celiacs, an autoimmune disease. When it flares up, dang it is painful 😣

It was a rough few days, but after getting my sexy new hand accessory (swipe left) and giving myself some much needed healing ❤️‍🩹… I feel much better.

Today, I enjoyed a lovely aquafit class 🏊‍♂️ and felt suddenly flooded with gratitude for my resilience, but mostly for the privilege of growing old. None of us can stop ✋ time or the body’s aging process, but we can always choose our mindset.

This week I chose to stay positive in the face of pain. I chose my health over work and took the time I needed for appts (blessed with an awesome boss and team) and I chose sharing my ups and downs because we all have rough weeks. How do you cope during a down week for your body?

And that’s a wrap on Summer vaca ☀️ 2023 - the perfect combo of chill time and boating at the cottage with the famjam, doing lots of fun staycation activities in beautiful and catching up with friends and loved ones.

Especially grateful for the opportunity to see my awesome siblings who travelled from all over to celebrate mom and dad on their 50th wedding anniversary 🎉

Happy Sunday and massive congrats 🎉 to my wonderful nephew Kailuka on showing up determined, calm and strong in mind, body and spirit on the mat tourney.
