Une excellente façon de commencer l’année. Notre groupe a complété avec succès l’Oizuki 2026, démontrant un esprit fort, de la concentration et un engagement commun envers l’entraînement — en pratiquant l’un des piliers du Shotokan Ohshima : l’oizuki, et en cherchant à maîtriser la technique par la répétition et la curiosité.

Un merci tout particulier à Sandan Ganesh Viswanathan pour avoir dirigé une pratique variée et réfléchie avec clarté et énergie, ainsi qu’une sincère reconnaissance à Godan Russell Girard et Godan Michel Venne pour leur soutien continu.

Reconnaissants pour l’occasion de s’entraîner, d’apprendre et de pratiquer ensemble en 2026. Le keiko continue. 🥋

🥋 Oizuki 2026 — Complete! 🥋

An excellent way to start the year. Our group has successfully completed this year’s 2026 Oizuki, demonstrating strong spirit, focus, and commitment to training together by practicing one of Shotokan Ohshima’s pillars: oizuki, striving to master the technique through repetition and inquisitiveness.

Special thanks to Sandan Ganesh Viswanathan for leading a varied and thoughtful practice with clarity and energy, and sincere appreciation to Godan Russell Girard and Godan Michel Venne for their continued support.

Grateful for the opportunity to train, learn, and practice together in 2026. Keiko continues. 🥋

Honoured to lead the end-of-year practice! 🥋 Ottawa will always hold a special place in my heart—it’s where my Canada karate-do journey began, and I was grateful to have my teachers from that era present.

It was great to have Simon Inwood (Yodan, Montreal Dojo) lead our last Joint Practice of 2025. Thanks to members from Ottawa West and Shotokan Karate Ottawa who participated in the practice today. Wishing everyone Merry Xmas and Happy Holidays!
