Walking Meditation
on
7 minutes
https://soundcloud.com/will-charbonneau/walking-meditation
This meditation can start seated or laying down, whatever helps you relax fully.
My intent is to entice a parasympathetic tone in our nervous system...in other words how calm can you be? How slow can you breath?
Once we've found stillness we slide into a guided equal part breathing meditation (sama vritti pranayama)
Inhale/exhale 4 counts(can add over time)
Hold top and bottom of breath 2 counts.
As your breath builds notice how it slows down the beating of your heart ❤
How slow can you make your heart beat?
How slow can YOU be?
Once ready to walk stand tall and firm. Find your feet below you, supportive, grounded, & steady.
From a place of stillness allow your equal part breath to weave into your movement.
Inhale peel right heel off the ground, filling up full and as you arrive at the top of your breath let the last thing that touches the ground be your big toe.
Hold breath as you travel right foot forward.
As it lands let the length of your exhale run down your foot so as you find emptiness both feet are fully in contact with ground.
Hold your exhale
REPEAT.
Walking has always been a powerful meditation for me.
Whether it's pounding down the pavement to challenge my top speed
Or
Taking 10 steps as slow as I possibly can.
Walking has been one of my most reliable tools for transportation, meditation and empowerment.
My feet have never let me down. They have supported me and brought me to all the wonderful places I've been.
I've heard it said that your legs are extensions of your mind
Taking the right step, stepping up, stepping down.. taking you to places you see in your mind first.
You can travel all over the world within your mind.
You can travel all over your mind with 1 step.

The Dye
Soak your visions in diligence, bind it in belief and let it sit.
Re-apply any distracted, doubting energies into what your doing..be fully engrossed in your task
Let impermanance yield to durability
Don't be surprised with what you're capable of
Wear your visions proudly so they might inspire others
