5K? 10K? half??

I love a race, but pick the wrong distance and things go sideways quicker than you can run to the next lamppost.
You pick a distance based on excitement, not what your running actually looks like right now…
then try to rush your way there.

That tiny timeline can be a big problem.

Before you sign up, ask yourself:

šŸ’¬ What has my running actually looked like in the last 4–6 weeks?

šŸ’¬ Do I have enough time to build without rushing?

šŸ’¬ Am I choosing this distance for me… or for the version of me I wish I was?

Sign up. Just make it make sense for right now.

Don’t listen to them.
Put on the shoes.
Go out there.
And smile as you run past them. šŸ˜‰

What if walking became a strategy instead of an excuse?

Run/walk helps your body get stronger, stay injury-free, and build real fitness—especially if you’re new or coming back. This is how you run more without burning out… and quit less because your body can actually keep up.

If you’re using walking breaks, remember this:

1ļøāƒ£ Walking helps your heart, lungs, and muscles slowly get stronger. This lowers your chance of injury and teaches your body how to run safely.

2ļøāƒ£ Showing up often matters more than running the whole time. Your body gets fitter from regular movement—not from pushing too hard once in a while.

3ļøāƒ£ Going slow can still build real fitness. Your body grows based on how hard it feels to you, not how fast you go.

You’re not doing it wrong.
You’re doing it smart.

It’s how I went from a non-athlete—who used to think running ā€œwasn’t for meā€ā€”to completing 2 marathons in my 40s. Not by pushing harder, but by learning how to run more and quit less.

Want to Run More, Quit Less too?
This works for run-walkers, walkers, and slow runners.

You miss one run…and suddenly it’s been 10 days.

You were doing so well.
It finally felt different.

Then life got busy.

And you’re back at the beginning.

Again.

You’re not the problem. Your system is.

Inside the Consistent Runner Program, you build a running rhythm that fits your life with a simple, personalized run plan to help you stay consistent.

Limited spots each week
so you get real support, not just a plan.

If you’re ready to stop restarting this week, this is for you - Comment/DM me ā€œREADYā€ and we can start talking about what this could look like for you.

Hot take: motivation isn’t your problem.

I’ve run marathons and an ultra…
and I still don’t feel motivated half the time.

What actually matters?
Having a version of your routine you’ll still do when you’re tired, busy, or not feeling it.

That’s the difference between ā€œon and offā€
and just… consistent.

If your plan keeps falling apart, it’s fixable.

Comment READY and I’ll send you what I use.

Thank you Nike… seriously.

Because this? This is exactly the conversation we need.

If an ad like this makes people feel like they don’t belong unless they run nonstop, we’ve missed the point of running entirely.

I’ve run marathons using run-walk.
I coach women who start with walking.
And I’ll stand by this every time:

You don’t earn the title ā€œrunnerā€ by how you move.
You earn it by showing up.

Run. Walk. Repeat.
You’re still a runner.

And honestly? More people would start—and stick with it—if we stopped acting like walking is failure.

ā¤ļø if you agree.

I will only tolerate positive and encouraging comments on this post.

It’s simple: I help inconsistent runners stop overthinking, show up regularly, and become the runners they know they can be.

Can’t wait to cheer you on!
