Congratulations Danny for grading up to your brown belt in Penticton! All of your hard work and effort paid off!

We also just finished competing in the Taneda Dojo Friendship Tournament which was held in beautiful Penticton, BC this past weekend. This tournament is always a good time! We got to see old friends, compete in a fun but tough tournament and a train in a fantastic seminar! This was a very competitive tournament this year as most of the competitors are off to Soke Cup in Australia this summer. The competition was next level! Our students never backed down, and showed incredible heart and perseverance and brought home 18 well deserved medals and some new skills too! We couldn't be more proud!

We competed in the annual SKA Spring tournament in Wadena on April 18th. We took a smaller group this time, but what we lacked in numbers this group made up for it in spirit and determination. Always a bit of a different tournament for us as most of our competitors train in a different style. Our students held their own, and brought home some medals too. We couldn't be more proud of how they represented Grasslands Karate.

Congratulations to Caley for grading to her blue belt last night and to Nixon for grading to his green stripe belt! We're proud of your hard work!

Well, I'm a little late posting our SKA tournament results from earlier this month, but it doesn't change how proud we are of everyone's efforts! We brought home 13 medals, with everyone bringing home hardware from their divisions! Well done!

It's that time again! Grasslands Karate is doing a bottle drive Saturday November 22 from 10:30-2:00pm. We're fundraising to send our students to upcoming tournaments and seminars. If you have any bottles or cans you would like to donate, please feel free to contact us! We'll be happy to pick up!
