Wow, after a long winter and 6 vaulting lessons we topped off our spring session with an eagerly anticipated clinic with Heather! Our Sr and Jr groups really enjoyed themselves so much! It was great to work on moves and have fun!

Due to the winter driving conditions, please feel free to stay home today if you don't feel like tackling the drive to the barn. I get it. If anyone does show up, there will only be some administration and a barrel class, so those who stay home won't miss much. Better safe than sorry! If you are coming out after all, text Kara or myself so we keep an eye out for you!

So, it is finally time to start up the vaulting classes again! Kara and I have put our heads together and have come up with the following dates:
Feb 11
Feb 25
Mar 4
Mar 11
Mar 18
Mar 25
Apr 8
Apr 14
We may need to cancel one or two dates, depending on weather as we don't want to have wet horses going out into the cold, so we will charge everyone $120 as if we are offering 6 lessons, and if we get to have all 8 weeks then it will be a bonus, and we will still have enough money to cover all our expenses for arena and Rocky. We will aim to put 5 vaulters on Rocky and 3 or 4 on Dolly. Some of Rocky's former riders may graduate to Dolly, depending on how many members sign up for this session. Some of our senior girls are in other sports this winter, and some of the juniors are also doing other things. We have no show to prepare for, so this will be purely rec vaulting and fun! Everyone will need to get their SHF memberships renewed if they haven't already, and we will start the season off with fresh waivers. I look forward to seeing everyone!

We trained for two months to put three routines together for this event. It was a pleasure for the club to have the opportunity to show what he kids can do, and to have such a wonderful crowd support them! Many thanks to the Moose Jaw Exhibition Company for inviting us and supporting the club!

The big show is only 5 days away! The girls tried out some of their costumes and worked on routines. The little ones got to have a rare chance to ride Dolly - they found her to be a big step up! We are show ready!

It takes a lot of bravery, strength and hard work to put a routine together. This is just a sneak peak of what the girls will be presenting at the Christmas show at the Moose Jaw Exhibition, Dec 8, 2018

Our friends Jeanine Van Der Sluijs and Dallyn Shields are training hard in preparation for their performance at the WEG. Look at those pictures, thousands of hours of training went into every one of them. Lets all send our good energy their way in the hopes that the big scores find them at this show. It sure looks like they are in line to earn them fair and square!

Exciting news! Angelique and Dallyn will be coming through Moose Jaw tomorrow, Wed, 22 Aug and staying overnight! The Moose Jaw Exhbition company is generously offering them the stalls they need and it will be a thrill to meet those girls when they pull in! It isn't every day that you meet world class, top flight athletes and their horses, so this will be a thrill!
