It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of a truly remarkable woman whose light touched fields, friendships, and communities across the country. She left us far too soon after a brief but courageous battle with cancer, facing her diagnosis with the same grit, humor, and heart that defined her life.
A fierce competitor and joyful spirit, she was a cornerstone of the ultimate frisbee community—both in her local scene and on the national stage through her involvement with Ultimate Canada events and tournaments. Whether she was throwing a blade for a game-winning point, mentoring a new player at practice, or organizing team gatherings that turned into legendary nights, she embodied the very best of the sport. She believed ultimate was more than a game—it was a family—and she worked tirelessly to make that family bigger, stronger, and more inclusive.
Her impact stretched well beyond the field. She was a leader who lifted others up, a friend who showed up without being asked, and a source of laughter even in the hardest moments. Her smile was magnetic, her hugs unforgettable, and her belief in people unwavering. Teammates became lifelong friends under her watch, and countless players credit her with shaping not only their game, but their confidence and sense of belonging.
Though her time was heartbreakingly short, her influence is enduring. Every pull, every sideline cheer, every act of spirited competition carries a piece of her legacy. She taught us to play hard, love fiercely, and never waste a moment.
She will be deeply missed, endlessly celebrated, and forever part of the ultimate community she helped build. 💜💜

📍 Locations: FW Johnson Collegiate & QC Turf Facility
👥 Target Group: Middle School (ages 8–14)
