What an incredible week for Baseball Ireland!

Our National Team finishes the tournament with a 3–2 record and a solid third-place finish, a result that reflects the hard work, determination, and heart shown by every player and member of the coaching staff throughout the competition.

Congratulations to Brendan Flaherty on being named the tournament’s Best Pitcher after an exceptional performance on the mound. It is a well-deserved honour and a testament to the talent that continues to grow within Irish baseball.

Thank you to our players, coaches, volunteers, families, supporters, and everyone who cheered Team Ireland on from home and at the ballpark. Your encouragement means everything.

This tournament demonstrated that Irish baseball continues to move forward. We are proud of what this team has accomplished and excited about what lies ahead.

Congratulations to Slovakia on winning the championship, and to the host, Poland, on a strong tournament and silver medal, and to all six nations for a fantastic week of baseball.

Ireland leaves with a winning record, a bronze medal, and plenty to build on. The future is bright!

A tough way to finish our tournament, but one that doesn’t define the progress this group has made.

Poland capitalized on an early lead and went on to claim a 17-7 victory in front of a passionate home crowd in Wrocław. Credit to the Polish team for a well-played game.

Ireland’s Men’s National Team showed tremendous character throughout the week, finishing with a 3-2 record, earning three convincing victories. Every player, coach, volunteer, and supporter should be proud of what this team accomplished.

It’s the final round robin game of the 2026 WBSC Europe Baseball European Championship B-Pool, and the stakes couldn’t be higher.

Ireland takes on tournament host Poland tonight in Wrocław with a place in the Championship Final on the line. A victory sends Ireland through to play for gold.

We’ll also be facing a passionate home crowd, but this team has shown resilience, determination and belief throughout the tournament. After yesterday’s 12-2 win over Norway, the momentum is with Ireland.

Another outstanding performance from Team Ireland!

Ireland improves to 2–0 at the 2026 Baseball European Championship B-Pool with a commanding victory over Lithuania in Wrocław.

💪 Brendan Flaherty was dominant on the mound, tossing a complete-game two-hitter, allowing just one unearned run while striking out 10.

At the plate, Ireland’s offence delivered from top to bottom:

🔥 Matthew Dutton: 2-for-4, Home Run, 3 RBI
🔥 Colin Walsh: 2-for-4, Home Run, Double, 2 RBI
🔥 Noah Pinto: Pinch-hit RBI single

Ireland opens the 2026 Baseball European Championship B-Pool with a convincing victory over Ukraine in Wrocław!

A strong all-around team performance saw Ireland collect 10 hits while the pitching staff combined to limit Ukraine to just 2 runs.

👏 Kealan Smithers earned the win, throwing 5.0 scoreless innings, allowing just 4 hits while striking out 6.

Congratulations to the players and coaching staff on a fantastic start to the tournament.
