Nackawic Curling Club The Nackawic Curling Club is a vibrant hub for curlers of all ages and skill levels, in beautiful Nackawic, New Brunswick.

Proudly member-owned and operated, it's been a cornerstone of winter sport and social connection for over 5 decades! The Nackawic Curling Club is a member owned ice curling venue dedicated to providing people of all ages the opportunity to practice ice curling. The venue also promotes a community hall available for events and includes catering and a licensed bar.

🥌 We’re changing things up again this year—we’re having a Registration Day! 🥌

Join us at the Nackawic Curling Club, 122 Carleton Dr., Nackawic, on Saturday, October 24, from 1:00–4:00 pm to get signed up for the 2026–2027 season!

Registration is open for all leagues, including Little Rocks and Juniors!

Come meet us, learn about the leagues, catch up with friends and get ready to spend winter yelling “HURRY!” at a rock that absolutely cannot hear you. 😄

And remember: No pay, no play! The rocks may be free spirits, but the ice time isn’t.

What do paint rollers, runway models and curling ice have in common? They’ve all been part of a very busy few months at the Nackawic Curling Club! 😂

Thanks to our amazing volunteers, the hall has been painted, new wall sconces installed, the old air conditioners removed and the floor waxed. The concrete in the ice shed has also been scraped and painted, and it’ll soon be ready for ice making. Those volunteers are so handy, we may have to put them on the payroll—in chocolate bars and coffee, of course! ☕🍫

NAW also held a women’s fall fashion show, with some of our very own members strutting their stuff as models, followed by a light lunch. Who knew we had so much talent both on and off the ice? 💃

Without our volunteers, we’d have a lot less paint on the walls, a lot more dust on the floor—and our models might have had to strut down a runway made of drop cloths! 😂

To all our volunteers: thank you for your time, dedication and hard work. It doesn’t go unnoticed, and we couldn’t do it without you. The Nackawic Curling Club is lucky to have you! ❤️

🥌 Calling all rock stars! The curling kind, of course. Actual musical talent is optional. 😄

Join us for the Louise Breau Community Bonspiel on November 6 & 7! Grab a team, bring your enthusiasm, and prepare to sweep like you mean it—even if you’re still figuring out which way the rock goes.

It’s $20 per person, and teams will play 3–4 end games. Snacks, breaks, lunch and supper are provided, so you’ll have plenty of fuel for your sweeping and strategizing.

Never curled before? No problem! Instruction will be offered November 4 & 5, from 6:30–8:00 pm—a great chance to learn the basics before you’re out there pretending you meant to do that.

All proceeds support the Louise Breau Trust Fund. Pledge sheets are available!

🚨 EDIT—PLOT TWIST! 🚨

Apparently, the person writing this post needs to spend less time making golf jokes and more time getting her facts straight! 😂 There was actually a three-way tie!

Also claiming bragging rights are:

⛳ Team 2: Tom and Mellisa Bak, and Mike Crofts
⛳ Team 4: Andre and Jennifer Ouellette, and Norm and Sandra Gray

Congratulations to all three winning teams! Suddenly, having no trophy seems like excellent planning—we would have needed three of them or one very complicated shared-custody schedule! 🏆🤣

🥌⛳️ Curlers Gone Golfing! ⛳️🥌

On Sunday, September 20th, the Nackawic Curling Club traded its brooms and curling rocks for golf clubs and golf balls at our first annual (hopefully) Golfspiel!

We had seven enthusiastic teams hit the course—some aiming for the green, some exploring the rough, and a few apparently determined to see every single inch of the property. 😂 Let’s just say some golfers got considerably more swings—and far better value for their money—than others!

There were impressive drives, questionable putts, creative scorekeeping and likely a few moments when sweeping the ball toward the hole seemed like a perfectly reasonable option. 🧹🤣

When all the divots had settled, the winning team was:

🏆 Jim Scarboro, Danny Scott, Sandy Taylor, John Holyoke and Don Jordan!

There was no trophy, no oversized cheque and no championship jackets—just the most valuable prize of all: bragging rights! And we’re fairly certain they’ll make excellent use of them until next year. 😄

Thanks to everyone who came out and made the day such a fun one. The curling may have been missing, but the laughs, friendly competition and club spirit were right on the button! 🥌⛳️

We’re excited to welcome familiar faces and new curlers back to the Nackawic Curling Club for another season filled with great curling, friendly competition and plenty of fun!
