Bookkeeping Opportunity: Salish Storm Hockey 🏒

We are seeking a Part-Time Bookkeeper to assist with our financial records and reporting.
The Current Priorities:

* Immediate Support: We are currently in the height of proposal season, and we need a detail-oriented professional to help us finalize figures for upcoming submissions.

* Fiscal Transition: Our year-end is officially wrapped up; we now need someone to step in quickly to ensure all accounts are perfectly aligned and ready for the next cycle.

* QuickBooks Ready: We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running with our current systems and help us stay organized.

* Ongoing Opportunities: This begins as a focused project to get our records into a steady state, with the potential for regular, consistent work moving forward.
If you are a professional bookkeeper who can jump in quickly to help us meet our current deadlines and stay on track for the year ahead, we’d love to hear from you.

Many, many thanks 🙏 🙏🙏 to Nanaimo Head Coach Heath Dennison for another absolutely outstanding season AND a HUGE shout out to the Nanaimo Clippers team for showing up throughout the year and bringing the sauce! It was something to see the amazing scrimmaging where our players were able to put their skills to the test with Nanaimo’s best!

Learning to skate is a breeze, trust us! With a few cool tricks and tools, our players are gliding like pros in no time!

End to end action! There was a lot going on at Frank Crane arena Wednesday night! Our practices are shaped to provide maximum support and encouragement for our new players and more intensity and conditioning for our developing players!

Wow it is incredible to see how many young players have joined with us this season, many under the age of 8!

Every year Salish Storm starts over 250 indigenous children on their hockey journey!

We knew Grandpa was a former hockey player the minute he walked in the kids! Salish Storm celebrates strong families! 💪🏼🏒🤚🏽✋🏽❤️

Hockey makes us happy! The NHLPA Goals and Dreams program provides full sets equipment to both of our school linked programs!

Their support enables us reach more hockey loving youth and build even more partnerships with other organizations such as the Vancouver School District. Many thanks to the NHLPA for providing the protection needed for a brand new wave of indigenous hockey warriors 🏒💪🏼🙌🏽

Sienna is one of our new Vancouver players and while she clearly qualifies for “smile of the week” even more impressive was how quickly she got her edges and transformed into a full on ice warrior! Don’t let the smile fool you 🙌🏽🏒💪🏼

Let’s give it up for our very own Salish Storm President and Snuneymuxw Elder Debbie Good🙌🏽. Debbie is a driving force behind Salish Storm and an inspiration to all of us. Debbie’s teaching focus on how to be resilient and successful in life. “Mental toughness”? Yes our players know why that is important: “It keeps you STRONG!”

Huy ch q’u Debbie Good🤚🏽✋🏽❤️💪🏼🏒🛶

Learning to make a right turn is just a matter of turning your head, stick and your shoulders…
