Across four coached sessions, we’ll work on things like positioning, footwork, shot selection and applying skills in realistic game situations.

Saturday Beginners KLINIKS are back 🏓
After the response to our current Beginners KLINIKS, and plenty of people asking when the next round would be, we’re doing it again.
This 4-session Beginners Skills & Drills KLINIK is designed for players who want to build better fundamentals, become more comfortable on court and start understanding how the pieces of the game fit together.
We’ll work on more than simply hitting shots, including movement, positioning, shot selection and using those skills in realistic game situations.

A tournament win is always nice… but this one had a bigger purpose. 🥇🏓
One of my goals with Pickleball Evolved is to keep developing as a Pickleball coach, not just teaching what I already know.
Over the last while, my DUPR had dropped to just above 3.5 and was trending in the wrong direction. A big reason was simple: I hadn’t been playing DUPR-rated tournaments or matches.
But if I want Pickleball Evolved to keep developing, I need to keep developing too.
My next coaching goal is NCCP Pickleball Instructor Level 2: Instructing Intermediate Players, followed by Pickleball Coach 1 Level 3: Introduction to Competition.
To move toward that Level 3 pathway, I need a verified DUPR rating of at least 4.25.
So I needed to get back out there and compete.
At the Victoria Pickleball Centre, Wendy kindly joined me and we entered the Mixed 3.5 50+ event, we came away with the win, and my DUPR moved to 4.288, with a 4.265 Mixed Rating and an aged based rating of 4.545.
I’m pleased with that I could win a medal with Wendy, of course. But I’m probably even happier about what it represents.
It means I’m moving another step closer to the next level of my coaching education, and continuing to build the knowledge and experience I can bring back to the players I coach and instruct.
Because if I’m asking my students to evolve their game, I should be doing the same with mine.
