Harewood Skatepark

To complete necessary tile work, the Harewood Skateboard Park will be closed from Monday, July 14 until Wednesday, July 16.

Our friends at The Stevie Smith Legacy Foundation who've built the awesome dirt track for mountain biking next to Harewood Skatepark have this message for anyone using the track. If it's dry and loose it will quickly be ruined so please damp it down if you're in the area. Two hoses have been installed. The track needs to be lightly sprinkled with water every so often before it's ridden since mother nature has not been very cooperative thus far.

Oh yeah, no surrons or any other high powered motocross bikes or any types of scooters on the bike track PLEASE. 👊🏼

My heart goes out to everyone in our community who's lives have been impacted by this tragic incident. Praying for this child, his family and friends.

As advocate for active transportation and a father of a child who loves riding his bicycle all over our city this reinforced to me the importance of educating new riders of all things how to safely navigate the spaces we are sometimes forced or required by law to share with motorists and their vehicles.

No blame or assumptions and please respect the families privacy.

The beautiful artwork adorning our skatepark is getting a refresh, please respect any and all closures while we allow time for the new paint to dry.

The artwork at Harewood Skateboard Park by talented artists, Joel Good and Bracken Hanuse Corlett, will be getting refreshed during the week of September 6-13. During this time, the park be closed entirely or have sections unavailable.
