Introducing Mommas Who Move: a brand new pilot program at Frontier Athletics, designed for moms and their little ones π€±π
This program was created by Coach Kate, who was inspired by her own experience in pregnancy and postpartum when she was searching for a space to move, recover, and build strength. She wanted to create something flexible that meets moms wherever they are at on any given day because we all know that is a moving target π«Ά
This is not a structured class. It is an open gym setting where you can come in anytime between 12:00 and 1:30pm on Wednesdays and do whatever feels right for you that day. Follow your own program, work on mobility, ride the bike, or try the suggested workout on the board. You and your little one are welcome to be there together in a space full of other understanding moms.
PS: A playpen will be available for the wild movers π
This program is run and monitored by Coach Kate Fergus, a Certified Physiotherapist and Frontier Coach who brings both professional expertise and her own experience as a mama to every session. You are in great hands π π
π
Start Date: September 23rd
β±οΈ Duration: 6 weeks (last class, October 28)
ποΈ Wednesdays from 12:00 β 1:30pm
π° $126 + tax for the full program
Spots are limited. Register through the link in our bio or email Coach Kate at [email protected] with any questions. We cannot wait to move with you and your little ones βΊοΈ

Meet Coach Carlie πͺ
Coach Carlie brings a wealth of knowledge, genuine passion, and an energy that makes every athlete feel seen and supported. With a Bachelor of Kinesiology and a minor in Neuroscience, plus her NASM CPT certification, Carlie combines the science of movement with a deeply human approach to coaching.
Carlie's coaching roots run deep. From student coaching in high school through track and field, volleyball, and running club, to serving as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for varsity sports at the university level, she has spent years learning what it truly means to help people perform at their best. Now, with two years of professional coaching under her belt, she brings all of that experience to the Frontier floor every single day.
What inspired her to coach? From an early age, fitness became a safe haven for Carlie, a place where she found empowerment, purpose, and growth as a competitive Track and Field athlete. She saw firsthand what discipline, consistency, and hard work were capable of, and she knew she wanted to give others that same experience. For Carlie, fitness is about far more than physical results. It builds confidence, resilience, and a stronger sense of self.
When she's not coaching, you'll find Carlie outside doing something that humbles her whether it's snowboarding, hiking, slack-lining, handstands, swimming with her dog, or playing sports with friends. Basically, if it's a challenge and it gets her moving, she's in πΎ
Oh, and one more thing: Carlie has two different coloured eyes π Pretty cool, right?
We are so excited to have Carlie as part of the Frontier team and we know you are going to love training with her. Welcome, Coach Carlie! π

Strong for Two: Cass's Story π€°πͺ
"Movement has always been a big part of my life, and being able to continue moving and challenging my body in a way I truly enjoy has been one of the biggest blessings of my pregnancy. My midwife encouraged me to keep working out the way I normally would and simply listen to my body when I needed to adapt or modify. Thankfully, I was already at a gym that supported exactly that.
Every single coach at Frontier Athletics has been incredible. They've helped me modify and adapt workouts as needed, cheered me on, and made me feel supported through every workout and every phase of this pregnancy. Showing up in a new and constantly changing body isn't always easy, but the Frontier coaches' skills and experience has meant every modification is thoughtful, safe, and effective.
And then there's the community... I have never felt more love, acceptance, and support. Everyday, I enjoy getting the chance to tackle workouts alongside so many encouraging members.
I'm happy to report that at 38 weeks pregnant, I am still consistently going to the gym. I haven't felt this strong and in tune with my body in a long time, and I owe all this to the coaches, programming, and community at Frontier Athletics. If you're pregnant and wondering whether you can keep training, the answer is yes. Frontier Athletics is the place to do it. I am so grateful for this gym and cannot recommend it enough for any pregnant woman who wants to stay active and healthy throughout her pregnancy."
