Our newest 4.00km race course is fully marked and 70% prepped. It was a long day in the forest - even had to build a surprise 15 foot bridge. But the course is fun and fast - and just a bit more demanding than our first creation. The difficulty level will continue to step up with each new design, so come often and commit to building your fitness and confidence. Moving the body and mind in the right direction is the name of the game and you get there through consistency. Race starts tomorrow at 7pm. Course is saved on Strava for those that want to download it to their bike computers.

The BC Bike Race is more than an event — it’s a full-send adventure through some of the best trails on the planet. Come on out to Coulson’s Hill RIGHT NOW to demo the freshly redesigned Norco Revolver. I just ripped four laps of our race course in the bike and will be shooting a quick video momentarily to share my thoughts about the new platform.

Our second York Region Athletic Association (YRAA) high races in three weeks is in the books. Athletes from across York Region came to test their mettle against our Coulson’s Hill race course and do their best to represent their schools to the best of their abilities. We had another day of exceptional weather and fantastic trail conditions that led to predictably exciting racing. Junior female: 1st - Audrey Stekle (Huron Heights), 2nd - Sarah Young (Huron Heights); Junior male: 1st - Voss Sangster (Huron Heights), 2nd - Julian Bitar (Langstaff SS), 3rd - Timothy Pan (RHSS); Senior female: 1st - Amelia Chan (Bill Crothers), 2nd - Freya Flook (Bill Crothers), 3rd - Jessy Schlotzhauer (Bill Crothers); Senior male: 1st - Weston Marshall (Huron Heights), 2nd - Kyler Paterson (St. Max Kolbe), 3rd - Tristan Abuton (St. Max Kolbe). Congrats to everyone and thanks to the students, teachers and volunteers who helped make this happen!

The weather we ordered is due to arrive in time for tomorrow’s DEMO DAY and we hope to see many of you out at Coulson’s Hill to test ride the exciting, new, and fully reimagined Norco Revolver. This bike has been a huge hit for us at the shop and we are excited to have Norco join us at our high races and our weekly race series to help share the experience. Today we were asked to replace a broken spoke on a customer’s wheel. To my surprise, the customer had some spare spokes on a mount built into his frame!
I thought this was too cool not to share.

We have a demo day next Monday - coinciding with another high school race at 1pm and our weekly race series at 7pm. Spoke O’Motion is always engaged with the community and providing local cyclists with opportunities to shred bikes!
