5 LESSONS I LEARNT THE HARD WAY 👇 - (And want to share so you don’t have to)

It took me years when I first started lifting to realize there was more to it than just moving weights.

At first I struggled with things like consistency, load management, injury prevention, and creating a sustainable routine.

I would try over and over again to keep going, but could never understand why I was burning out shortly after every restart.
I would tell myself it was because of my job, my injuries, because I’m too busy, because it’s winter and I’m tired.
Anything to justify why my strategy wasn’t working.

Really in the end I had to ask myself, is my mentality & habits outside of the gym complimenting my goals? Am I putting the same amount of effort into my lifestyle as I am my workouts?

I wasn’t saying no to things like alcohol and sweets, in fact, I was indulging.
I was staying up late, missing out on my sleep.
I would skip workouts, skip meals, or make up any excuse as to why I couldn’t get these or other tasks complete.

Or Id be so tired from my workouts and lifestyle that I’d stop seeing friends & family.

In the end this created a guilt cycle that made it harder to go to the gym, and do the activities I wanted to on the side. I wasn’t getting either done.

If I could give my younger self 1 piece of advice, I would say: The fastest way to success is through finding balance. Your social life, activities, and health, can all co-exist through letting small choices add up over time to equal a much larger result.

If you relate with any of this, SAVE this post, SHARE it with a friend, COMMENT & let me know how you resonate with my story. You may find more people who share similar experiences than you thought!

This is more common than you think 👇

You can’t out train a bad diet.

I mean, maybe if we reverse time and go back to being 18, then maybe we can get away with it.

But the fact is, later into your 20s, 30s, 40s + it’s just not going to fly anymore.

You have to be able to change the habits that got you to this point in the first place.

So have you wanted to, reduce body fat, gain muscle, reduce pain, or create a healthier lifestyle?

Are you someone who adds more and more exercise, meanwhile in the process seeing no results or repeatedly injuring yourself?

Are you only focused on the workouts, and not the bigger picture?

Sounds like it’s time to follow a plan, introduce new habits, and ultimately start seeing the change you’re working so hard to see.

Not sure where to start?

“Don’t wait till its too late”

Something we hear all the time, and overall I see it being applied to things like work, sales, events and so on. But often times I hear people regretting that they let their health get to a certain point.

In my opinion, It’s completely okay to have other priorities, to not be as strong as you once were, or as active, as mobile, it’s okay to not be in the best shape of your life. But it’s also okay to not want to be in your current situation anymore.

Its okay to want to increase muscle,
Its okay to want to feel stronger,
Its okay to want to gain weight,
Its okay to want to be active,
Its okay to want to lose fat.

A few hours a week can make a huge difference.

If you feel similar, share this post, movement could change someone’s life!
